UPDATED AUTHOR’S FULL REVIEW FOR MY NEW READERS: This novel is for 18+ MATURE readers due to DETAILED sex/smut scenes. I consider this novel to have an erotica subplot after chapter 48. There is no rape, no evil stepmother/sister, and no prolonged misunderstandings. If there is a misunderstanding, the communication between them is almost immediate. PLOT: This romance story is catered to both men and women as the POV’s between all male and female characters are interwoven in each chapter, via third person. The pace is initially slow-burn, but it picks up rather quickly. There are plot twists throughout the story, and most of my chapters are between 1000-1800 words. The main leads are both cynical individuals navigating their new roles as successors of their separate companies—marrying each other would help benefit both of them, uncovering the mastermind who desires to bring them down. There is also a forbidden love story between the second leads—they discovered their feelings, feeling helpless by the barriers that keep them apart. Their story interconnects with the main leads to support them. Their development is also initially slow-burn, and then it picks up quickly. THEMES: Romance, Crime Drama & Mystery The plot starts off surrounding romance, and it slowly transitions into a crime drama, mystery, and plot twists—however, again, it's heavily romance-focused; that means a lot of fluff and steamy scenes. WRITING QUALITY: I’d like to say that all final revisions are done, so there should be little to no mistakes in all chapters. STABILITY OF UPDATES: 1-2 a day, more chapters depends on how much time I have STORY DEVELOPMENT: This is subjective to my readers ;) CHARACTER DESIGN: All characters are multifaceted—female characters are strong, independent, and intellectual in their roles. Male characters initially have an iciness to their personalities, but they quickly become soft, considerate, and gentle. I give life and unique roles to each character, and I’d like to think I make each of them stand out on their own, despite how small or big their role is. WORLD BACKGROUND: The story takes place in China; most of the settings are fictional but inspired by real cities. My novel is 100% original; I do not use other novels for references. My stories are actually based on real events surrounding true crime. My smut scenes are also 100% original. I enjoyed this story very much. Characters are well described, and I love how romance develops gradually. Each couple is unique. And the snu-snu scenes are H-O-T. Luckily, I started reading it when it was done so I was able to binge-read it in few days. 💖💖💖 Thank you, author for sharing this story! 👍

Very well written. Had some minor mistakes that can easily overlooked. Character descriptions were detailed and gave reader an imagination what they might have look like. One thing to point out to describe characters (from reading so many well known authors published book like Julie Quinn and etc), may be a good idea to describe more, like lips, nose, chin or shape of the face, body, and such. This will give readers more vivid images of the character as readers read along. My apologies if over stepped. I just thought your writing was so good and just wanted to provide suggestions to make them perfect. I could tell you truly care about your work. 😊

Love this book, the romances, the twists, the characters, really great! I want to read all the books of this author, all ready in my library

The first 1/3 part of the story is good. I like how the story develop between ML & FL. Then the story starts to some mysteries..but at the end, I am disappointed. From middle to end, the story kind of make all other things simplified!! No depth (especially the characters' background) and seems like too many maturity contents which I think can be skipped and won't effect the story at all.

I didn't read the previous book(s), but it never impacted my understanding of this one. I really enjoyed how the characters grew and how the various love lives intertwined. And the way it ended, with the subtle introduction of the main characters for the next book, is really admirable.
