The Fall of the Lotus TFOTL

For Jin Yuzuki Mari life was always changing. Being different was something she had to accept over and over again. Always alone and surviving just barely was what she was used to. Living and looking out for herself was normal for her. But having to care for and look after not one, but six adults that are always fighting for her attention and affections, that was not something she was used to at all. But being looked after, cared for, loved, and accepted was something she still has yet to come to terms with. With secrets still in the dark and half-truths coming out faster than you can blink, the only option is to trust the people closest to you. Both sides still trying to hold on to the other while not being completely honest and in the end realizing that they needed to let go to get a better hold on the other.

Part of the story:

"What do you mean I can't drink!" Yuzuki yelled.
Glaring at the group she turned and poured the alcohol on them.
"No, you can not have any alcohol!" They firmly told her in unison. Turning her back on them she laid on the bed and didn't respond.
"Come on sis, don't be like that."
No matter what they tried she wouldn't speak or look at them. Finally, a cup came over her shoulder.
"I have the best family ever!" Yuzuki said as she drank it in one go. They just smiled as they thought about how much they would do for her. It pained them to see her unhappy, but it hurt even worse when she ignored them. As long as she was happy and safe they would be happy.
