Okay so I took a try at reading this because of the good reviews on here but this story is so hard to like. First a have problem with the background which is super vague at the beginning and doesn’t really get any better latter on. Second the main character a total bore. The system attached to the main character is more interesting. And talking of characters their is really no one interesting to follow in this story. Everyone is described so vaguely that I can barely follow who is who. The story development is ok but that really all I can it. So all in all it’s a slow read that not really worth investing in.
Hmmmmm... A fairly good novel it has the best character design I've ever seen the story is somehow unique and original the writing quality is one of a top notch intermidiare (after my experience in rating novels) I STRONGLY recomand reading it .
Read it without logging in throughout a few days. It was a refreshing and sweet read. I definitely encourage people to try it.
You easily get attached to the characters. I'm a fan of BurningChestHair personnally...
I've read up to chapter 549. The story so far is entertaining. You have epic battles, a smart MC and an interesting plot that unfolds over time. However, there is a few deal breakers. There is a disgusting amount of misunderstandings in this fic. It gets to the point that its so unbelievable that it becomes another form of plot armor.
This is a great book and you will fall in love with it after you read a few chapters. the character development is nice and the humorous is pretty good. but all I ask if for is a petition for a second book, this book is that good. you feel empty when you finish it, it doesn't just add up and at the end of the day you will want a book 2.
This is Tynan, I am an editor from another platform that focuses on adventurous Genre Fictions. After reading your “Gamers of the Underworld ”, I decided to contact you and if possible, to extend you an invitation on distributing your works. However, there are so little I can talk about it here. If you were interested, please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org
, then I should take opportunity to discuss it with you in detail.
It was a great pleasure to meet your story.
Although the ending felt a little rushed the overall story was very good and unique. I endorse this novel. It is not a very long novel which is a good thing if you are looking for something with closure.
It's not your classical Dungeon Master gene, or whatever you want to call it. It has a lot of unique elements and a lot of comedy. Of course, it has a few problems. For me the biggest complaint is a lot of unrealistic things happen, but considering other things it's okay. I'm not here to write a full review just to recommend the book, nor am I good at writing them, so if you want something more detailed look elsewhere Id highly recommends though.
This story is a very slow burn, other than that the story is excellent in every way and I have no complaints. Unfortunately I didn’t finish the story, however the issue was with me not the story itself.
another good novel get dropped by original author since he decide to write another novel.
i'm not gonna explain in detail why i give this story a high rate since other people already did it but atleast you should know that this story have a good character development including crazy yet hilarious name, a proper world building with the Underworld undergoes basically an Industrial Age unlike the surface world Human who's still stuck at Feudal Age.
funny thing is the Underworld denizen ironically were more peaceful than the Human backed by Light God / Knowledge God who constantly wage war between themself.
Marked as completed??????????????????????????????????????????? I'm still ~20 chaps away from the last listed chapters behind privilege, and no way in hell it could be completed in that length. Anyone have some information? Or someone who have reach last chapter?
For a story about gamers, the gamers themselves are the one that is the most lacking in here. While author tried to make them having some characters, they failed. The gamers mostly have some traits and quirks, but that's it. Sometimes there's a pov from the gamers, showing their world and perspective, but it's too short and doesn't add much to the story. And there are many kind of gamers, which author also stated at first, but then author make them all act the same, chaotic and uncaring of the world around them. There's a gamer that's said to love adventuring and discovering new area, and he did just do that, but author only make him appear when needed. Settling him down instead of doing adventures. There's a gamer that supposedly like to look at the scenery, but instead just chilling at the base most of the time. And so far there's no one that actually love lore. No one truly try to immerse themselves in the world that supposedly looks realistic. There's one that try to learn the logic of its world and make new technology, but that's the extent of it. They're just bland. The non-gaming aspects of this story is more interesting.
The mc, Sherlock, is a calm and smart protagonist. He is accompanied by a being called Bru. This duo carry the whole novel if you ask me. Both of them have somewhat mysterious background. Bru was hinted as a past reincarnator, and Sherlock seems to be so knowledgeable about the underworld. Sherlock is not op however, he is just too adaptable and always making sure things are on his side. I truly hope author doesn't waste their characters. There are some others interesting characters, but they still lack development and screentime.
The world itself is silly and funny. Underworld's equivalent of drug is learning, and surface world's equivalent of sex is washing clothes. Underworld's residents are mostly wholesome and stupid, while surface world's residents are greedy and stupid. All in all, their interactions are funny (underworld is better tho).
A fun read when you just want to chilling and not using your brain too much.
