This book is basically a shoddy attempt to copy Ye Fei Ye’s (Bringing the Nations Husband...) style of writing. Basically, emotional story of abuse, eventually becoming love, but...there is absolutely no character growth after 100 chapters. The main character is constantly abused both physically and mentally. The author has highlighted her traumatic past life but doesn’t expound upon it, leaving little to no character depth. I, on a common sense level, understand if you were abused in your past life you would carry your scars to present. However the author barely makes use of the backstory presented to elaborate on the main character’s feelings. All we see is what the author tells, that she is controlled. Every time she takes control for herself (or tries to) it’s done in a sloppy, uneventful way. My main example is her attempt to retrieve a certain safety deposit box, she tries to escape to see the contents. Well she should have turned all devices off and gone MIA, so as to not be tracked. Honestly her ‘escape attempt’ was not planned out at all. I blame this on sloppy writing. This part of the story could have been the start of the main characters rise to confidence, to build something for herself. However, it was thrown away and once again she is treated like a dog when our male lead comes to reclaim her. So disappointing. Anyways, I love reading dramatic stories such as this but, I am becoming more and more disappointed at the direction the story is taking. I wish the author to continue on, and hopefully grow as a writer. This is by no means a bad story, quite the opposite. Yet there are many flaws which, if fixed, could lead to a more interesting development.

Just stumbled upon this novel by chance. In the first few chapters I should say that I couldn’t keep up with the timeline. I mean is this a resurrection story or main lead is in a novel?! But I should say that I am pleasantly surprised by the improvement in writing and how the story is progressing. I just hope that Alec doesn’t give up on this lovely family for whatever revenge he is planning. Afraid that Lily will start trusting him and he is going to break her heart and betray her 😒 Please author please change Alec’s mind. And please explain the timelines at least in the comment section as I am still confused. I thought this is medieval era but then you said it’s 21st century but different. So is this a parallel universe? Please give some more background as to why she came here and from where? Overall very good work. Please don’t abandon the novel in between. I ve decided to give all my power stones to you 😍😍

The storyline is good. the story is still progressing so I am waiting how the story will unfold. I would really like to know who hero wants to take revenge on, and how the character is associated with female lead.
