So he has trained for 10 years and is still useless?

Why didn’t the wife attack first or while her husband attacked even if it happens fast it feels as if they are taking turns moving. Also hate the timeskip so far as it has only hurt the story in my opinion as Dag feels younger than his age now and somehow never talked to the girl he liked when last we saw they where on good terms so it should have been easy especially if he became best friends with her brother basically it feels almost impossible to happen without context on how it happened. If I imagine it as a few months timeskip it makes more sense in my opinion.
