Rereading again and just realized that Qin Ran's parents abandoned her when she was 7 years old because they thought she wasn't good in studies!!! Do they even qualify to be a parent?! It's traumatic enough for a child when their parents fight for custody and they are asked, 'who do you want to follow?' But to see this scene for her sister and then go through the scene where her parents fight to avoid her custody and ultimately leave her alone to fend for herself.....I sincerely feel sorry for her child self 😥
