Ultimately, I’m disappointed in the conclusion. There are many questions left unanswered and the whole thing fell flat. Is there a sequel or is this really where we end??? I fell in love with this story early on, I’m really mystified on how it ended with no satisfaction factor. Oh well. I guess these forced serials are bound to end this way, more often than not.

It is a good story with nice and memorable characters. I would have wanted a little more background story of The golden god and his lover. There are plot holes without much explanation. But you can still get the gist of the story. Would have a loved an ending with stories about the other characters and what happened to them.

I love the characters and world, and it's very good, but you can only read up to 67 chapters, and then you'll have to pay to read more for some reason.

Seriously one of my favorite novels, definitely recommend!

As somebody who struggles with BPD the idea of a person who calms the storm, and the constant anxiety of not wanting to become the monster you know you could be HITS. I also appreciated getting to see moments in time from the semi-omnipotent POV of both characters.

Since the 1st time I read this novel I was hooked . I love the development of relationship between the main characters as they go through a lot of hardships and sweet misunderstandings but eventually becoming lovers .

This story was amazing and for the first half was totally immersive. Unfortunately the quality of the proof reading/editing declined in the second half, with many typos that started to make sections difficult to read. That being said, it was still totally worth reading and incredibly enjoyable. The type of story that would make for a spectacular drama adaptation.

I must say that after read Val’s Demon King, I rushed to read this book and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautifully written story. Characters that you can’t help but love (and some you wanna throw away but still they were memorable). It has everything: action, romance, mystery, angst (but tolerable), self-reflection, second chances, miscommunications, and oh my gawd, comedy!!! You won’t regret binging over this story at all! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really liked the story tbh. The characters, the plot and the world building was great. A bit rushed at the end though and I would have liked some extras, just to know the HEA mudane things. A bit of domestic fluff is never a miss! A few things like clarification on Anyue/Sumeng relationship(I did not like the vague 'Perhaps' either), feelings and such after the talk about Xuelan's knowledge of the past life (some of their deep conversations just feel like they are missing parts or seem like lack of communication), some clear cut closures I guess. Many things were just too vague when it came to their relationship. But then again I think the mystery plot made up for it. I did like the fun and teasing conversations between Sumeng and Xuelan. They really had a fun yet deep relationship. This story do have great potential though, a sure read if you like a mystery romance!

This novel is incredible! I feel like I'm watching an anime with the way some of the scenes are written and the pining of the two main leads is to die for! I've read 100 chapters in three days and still want to keep reading. Thank you for your hard work author!👍

i read it from beginning to end. and I saw I have never read a book like this. I think I remember that saying, "When readers ran out of books to read, its those moment they pick up their pens and become writers". I hope you'll write more stories for us to read.

It has a few sharp knives and the story is hooking I've had to read in on my cousins phone multiple times just because I couldn't stop wondering what would happen next all tho I did drop this half way I've started binge reading it again overall the story is pretty good would recommend

אהבתי את הסיפור מאד, מעניין מרתק וסוחף. אני חושבת שסומנג שבה את ליבי ושואלן עורר בי חמלה ורצון לגונן עליו מול כל העוולות שקרו לו. הסיפור נפלא ומתפתח באופן מרתק כל הזמן נכנסות דמויות חדשות והסיפור מתגלגל ומתפתחות בו המון עלילות משנה, אין רגע דל. קראתי אותו לפחות שלוש פעמים וכל הזמן אני מגלה עוד ועוד... בעיני הוא שונה מסיפורים אחרים מיוחד ומעניין ובהחלט עומד בפני עצמו. התאהבתי בדמויות ובסיפור המיוחד הזה והייתי ממליצה לקרוא יותר מפעם אחת בעיקר בגלל שהעלילה מסועפת ומשופעת בסיפורי משנה ודמויות וממש כמו בפאזל הכל מתאחד לבסוף. תודה שהנעמתם את זמני.

I love this story! I'm only just finished with what out for free, but I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm deficiently hooked, and I can't wait to see how the characters will solve problems they're currently having and what other problems will come up later.

This story is amazing! Yuan Xuelan and Liu Sunmeng are so oblivious it makes me want to scream. The angst and cliffhangers in this story is what makes it so captivating. Great job!

I absolutely love this story! After reading Mo Dao Zi Shu my standards for Chinese BL rose. This book was so intriguing, and I couldn't stop reading it! I loved the MC's character development- How he went from an introvert, that rarely talked, to one that would stand up for the ones he valued. Liu Sunmeng and Yuan Xuelan are such a good match together!! While Lui Sunmeng is calm and thoughtful, Yuan Xuelan is bold and does things without thinking much. This book was captivating, but the spelling errors were quite irritating.

This is a really solid story. Even though the focus is on the romance, I think the whole plot with the masked man, and the demons-cultivator alliance is also very compelling. It's filled with not only cute and silly moments, but also pretty sad and action-packed moments. I feel like both the main characters are well-developed. Rather than focusing on just getting them together as fast as possible, the author does a very good job at showing them deal with their feelings in a messy but realistic way (and killing us all with that slow burn damn) So far (I am at Ch 82) I'm really enjoying this story.

Omg I love this book. I definitely recommend it. The main characters are a little braindead at times but they are so cuuute together. And the action, fighting and such is really entertaining. I am personally really intrigued by the inner turmoil yuan xuelan is constantly struggling with. Can’t wait to see how that turns out.
