*Read if you aren't sure of what the books about* It's another of those shameless author reviews that will also serve as a bit of insight into the story. First of all the main character while starting as the picture of good is a villian, this is a fact. He is not an anti-hero or a "I'm just ruthless type hero", he is a VILLIAN. I started him off good because I believe it makes a good backdrop for the actions he takes lator on. Should mention this also isn't a "He wins because he's special" type deal either. He can and will be beaten, he can fail and he will fall. That's just part of what I feel has to happen. Also he's a vampire, he doesn't burn in the sun but thats about the only difference. I should also note that there is a reason he doesn't burn in the sun and a reason that normal vampires do. It will be filled with action, high fantasy, and maybe a tad of romance but also quite a bit of horror. I hope that if you give it a chance you enjoy what you read, vampire stuff properly starts around chapter 15. TLDR: If you want to read a story where the main character is a villain and Vampire set on achieving his own goals and crushing anything in his way, then this is probably for you. If that doesn't interest you then try it anyway and see if you like what you read.

good chapter. Good story for now and finally a vampire novel that shows the true nature of a cruel vampire, thirsty for blood and destruction. Now there is a lot of vampire romance but now for me vampire romance = roman vampire + human or vampire who tries to stay human and shows her self-combat. I thought everyone had forgotten why vampires were famous and how they had become popular. And its good to see a person go back to the origins of vampires.

20 longest and most annoying chapters of my tiny and tiny existence ... humans are cattle for vampires (even if you speak of idiotic justice): childishness and the heroi view of the world, makes me nauseous, I will never find a decent vampire , and this fairy tale of friends and family is just plain annoying. And the vampire who was supposed to be the evil incarnate and just, is going to **** himself.

It is really good. I like vampires and not the romantic/good but the cruel types. Unfortunatly it is rare to find novels with these type of vampires, so I'm happy that i found this novel.
