Its a novel with a great start but after chapter 80 the author is off the main story rails and tons of fillers and rubbish characters overshadow the mc and main plot. It may make the story full of depth but unneccessary plotholes is just showing the author is running out of steam and shooting airplanes randomly.

Where is the statsguy? Strange how come he didnt share his otherworldy knowledge for s plebs.. still not 140 ch ? I hate thisssss................

Out of all the modern cultivation stories I have read I would rate this the best. Mainly because the character hasn't reincarnated from anywhere and isn't constantly offending people. The story unfolds in a pretty organic way and isn't rushed or slow.

This novel is quite good, but is dragged down by inconsistencies and an extremely unoriginal author. The premise is awesome. Three different villages, each one cultivating a different art: witchcraft( hexes and curses ), zombie controlling and poison( MCs village). And this is where the awesomness ends. Within 10 chapters, MC cultivates his village's special poison cultivation skill. And instead of poison skills, he gets physically strong. He hits hard. Such a fcking dissapointment. And once in a while, when its convenient for the plot, he has poison skills. The novel is extremely generic. There is better around.

It piqued my interest for now! Kinda excited for the upcoming chapters! Hope it does not disappoint the readers XD Also the translation's good and the story so far is also good.

Knowing very well that this is a site for translated works, at the very least of what readers can do is to appreciate the effort put into the product. Just like food, not all books are suited to every type of reader's taste buds.

It's a very good novel when compared to other mainstream Chinese novels. The MC isn't OP in the beginning but has a legit reason which drives him and his hard work is clearly mentioned, no lucky encounters yet. Translation is really good as well.

Excellent novel! Tge characters are well fleshed out. The background story of the cultivator families are interesting and unique though I wish I know chinese since the poem describing the three families sounds cool. This novel reminds me of classic wuxia novels like condor heroes though with immortality and cultivation.

This is one of my most loved webnovels. The characters build up is spectacular and I love the hardworking MC to death. His storyline is realistic and the MC isn't over powered he falls but rises and sometimes seems like he won't rise again. It ..... I can't describe I feel sad for those who don't read it and like webnovels. I was extremely sad when radiant translations stop it. I praise you Qudian that you will not fair my expectations and continue where it left off.

Frankly speaking... this book is confusing in terms of their world, u know its set in modern time but u cant deny u get the feeling from those xuanhuan settings with the magic items that keep popping out, and somehow i feel the author is same author for Inverted dragon scales it got same flavours to it.. (i dont know the name for IDS author name LOL). But personally for me i enjoy the ride and looking forward for more development. Thank to the translator, cheers!

what's up with you people rating it 5 stars when you don't even explain the reason why you like it? For me it was a total disappointment, it was okay at first but suddenly things just get distorted, mixed up and messy. btw i hate the way the author keeps pinpointing the carrot, I mean things are already getting messy and yet he's still forcing the carrot line to be inserted.

I wasn't too sure at first when I read the description, but after getting through the first 10 chapters I got sucked into the story. One of my favorite novels that QI has to offer so far.

Realli interesting story. Jux ned more chapters! Chr dev also intersting. And chrs r realli human-like. And chrs with weird personality r also without reasons. And in my opinion, this novel seems like an anime(but not childish and harem(yet)).
