A different kind of historical fiction found on this site with a strong female lead who has a self-worth to try to overcome her situations. There's also a taste of new world adventure in a bygone era. It's a slow burner with a lot of potential.
Where I struggled was with the add on sentences. There were too many extended conditions that started with "And", which led to moments of brain drain and having to cope with info dumping. A bit of shame as the world and character design of this story is quite unique.
Otherwise, this is a hidden gem and with a bit of fine-tuning can go far.
