Yall that disagree with this are the type that never leaves the house. If you think that you wouldnt use whatever power you gained, whether its political, supernatural or financial youre living in more of a fantasy world than the one we're reading. Sure you might not ACT on the impulse to do something bad but if you dont get ANY impulse to be a bit of a tyrant then its cause youre never GOING to have any form of power. Or social life 🙃

Well technically yes, but the first two combined were only 28 years since he died at 32, and he died at 50 in the third one which together with the previous 2 simulations would count as exactly 60 years of simulation. So in essence it took him the equivalent of a single uninterrupted lifetime to reach the Knight Realm.

From an ordinary person to an Official Knight, all it took for Milton Cheney are just three simulations.

Nevermind I looked it up because it definitely looks like a Chinese name, but I thought in this case it mightve been an author that simply likes eastern fantasy, since this novel seems far out compared to the styles of most chinese originating novels Ive read, so far the only common points is the height thing and the part where it was emphasized too hard whether the letter writer was male or female which MIGHT turn out to be sexism which is an unfortunately common trait in many eastern novels. I shall see, anyway it is indeed a Chinese author just that webnovel does not have a credited translator team for some reason, the original name of the author is Xin Neng Zhu Shu

Pretty much sums up the most logical reasoning behind a common trope. Authors probably just do it cause they want more time and leeway to decide on the realms but eh, I like to have reasonable logic behind it so I prefer to think all authors think this way when they introduce this trope.

Nah its more like telling a Kindergartner that once they finish Kindergarten, they go to Elementary school and explaining how elementary works and what they do, and that after that they will go to High School but not detailing it. A kindergartner has their hands full just remembering elementary exists theres no need to explain High School, College and Uni multiple times to them until theyre finally old enough to remember. Martial realms are the same, you can tell a child that after learning to talk they can learn to read, but you dont need to tell them that afterwards theyre gonna learn to study by reading. Its just exceptionally far away and serves no purpose to explain and might simply confuse the child with too many distant goals that might demotivate them.

As with my previous comment, I find this reasoning to be bad. I understand that its for plot reasons to not give him something he doesnt need or shouldnt have at this point in the story but this is just creating a bad plot hole and tearing it bigger. I think there should at least be DIFFERENT logical reasoning for why he wont take them, just say he doesnt know what to use them for, where to sell them safely and that "he doesnt think he's going to need money" as hes been living in the palace. At least in that case we could attribute it to being a personality flaw of the MC, instead of him simply being unable to comprehend scale and magnitude. And thats just a fleeting thought on what else could be used to make sense of why he cant take them, there are surely plenty more logical reasons to prevent him from taking the crystals that dont leave unfortunate plot holes such as this.

However… once again, he reminded himself why he wasn't doing any of that.

I hate reasoning like this, I mean assuming there are 50 levels to the dungeon and theyve only been working on the first 5 it is going to take them a significant amount of time to even start exploiting levels 1 through 10 additionally if theyve been mining 1-5 for as long as it sounds like with a FULL task force of a minimum of dozens JUST including the miners without fully depleting them, the resources have to be VERY abundant so whatever scraps he winds up taking would never really amount to more than a drop of water in the ocean as he has no overpowered skill such as "Devouring" or "Spatial magic". And thus IMO this logic is absolutely redundant and MC would have to be well below average intelligence to think it would matter, its not stealing either as it does not belong to the country who hasnt bothered to claim it yet. Its like walking into a tourist attraction cave full of lets say Quartz if you are not explicitly told not to take a souvenir or that its forbidden to take a piece then OF COURSE who wouldnt grab a piece of Quartz lying in front of them, sure you might not go fully kitted with mining gear to destroy the cave but there certainly wouldnt be anything stopping you from keeping a small piece that doesnt ruin the environment, its the equivalent here as the resources must be so abundant it wouldnt matter what he takes. Anyway, thats my opinion on this because I find this to be a minor plot hole considering previous explanations.

Thats the whole point, how am I supposed to know if a chapter is relevant or not before I read it. Anyway thats why I read my novels elsewhere, cuz Im not paying money for stuff like this. Also its been a whole year since I was even reading this novel, its etiquette not to revive an online topic thats been dead for years.

As of currently I am on chapter 200. I personally really love how everything has a great scientific background, and the author is absolutely an expert at logical reasoning and common sense which honestly seems to be very lacking in too many novels these days. There have been no noticeable plot holes so far, but that does bring me to the reason I cannot give the novel 5 stars despite how much I want to. The reason I believe I have not noticed any major plot holes is simply because of the abysmal amounts of filler. As much as I like the explanations and science and detailed worldbuilding a lot of it is endlessly reoccurring, repeated and honestly inserted at very unnecessary times. Im hoping that will change as I go further in and the author will be done with the overkill reinforcing of his worldbuilding. For one example author wrote MULTIPLE times about the 5 main classes of missions Offense, Defense, Hunter, Spy and Miscellaneous. Like brother we get it you dont have to tell us EVERY time you mention Offense class missions that they "must be royally authorized and murder is illegal" I think most of us got it the first or second time. When Rui was picking an Offense mission in chapter 166 it was already the 5th or 6th time I was reading the same sentence differently worded and its just sooo fucking redundant at that point. So yeah authors main bad habit IMO would be that he endlessly repeats his worldbuilding to the point it becomes filler. The only saving grace is that the writing is eloquent so its at least not just copy paste filler. 160 ish chapters worth of reading could have been compressed down do 60-70 chapters if you got rid of the filler and the boring stuff. That aside to me personally I can tolerate the endless filler since I do enjoy the rest of the story such as the developing of the Martial Art, wondering what Rui will do in the future and hoping for more adventures less explanation of the same stuff over and over again. The Characters are solid with pretty well written personalities, although not at the point where you feel like you know them as real people but the unique types of Martial Paths do give them a bit of personal flavour the world background is good but the endless descriptions of the same thing spanning multiple chapters unfortunately ruin what could otherwise be a very well written world.

Brother, you cant even formulate a proper sentence in english your spelling is good but its literally missing half the words in between and you're claiming others to be dumb. "You speak this... bad no words... mentally... challenged... much... wow..." Reincarnation is a concept that is literally as old as the soul, they have some form of superpowered martial arts it would be strange if there were no folk tales about reincarnation. Just because the author hasnt bothered to waste an entire chapter telling the story of otherworld jesus who rose from the dead it doesnt mean such a story doesnt exist in this world. Just because you dont know doesnt mean something isnt true. Its like saying oh yeah Ive never heard of Narwhals before so just because Im finding out they exist now I dont believe it.

Everybody here being salty about Julian coming to this conclusion like "Yap yap nobody can guess that so Im gonna cry about it", have none of you birdbrains considered that perhaps Julian is ALSO a reimcarnated person just with different goals than Rui? Perhaps Julian is the kind of person that desires knowledge which honestly makes sense even then it really isnt impossible to guess someone is reincarnated. Perhaps today in the 21st centure people wouldnt believe such a thing but in a world filled with magic and unknowns it would be quite normal to suspect somebody having been reincarnated or possessed. Humanity has literally had a history of witch hunts and superstition as an example. Helen Duncan was arrested in 1944 under a "Witchcraft Act" for fear that she would leak military secrets during WW2. Thats just 80 years ago. I swear man sometimes I feel like webnovels comment sections lower my IQ even more so than actually trashy novels.
