that is why there are too few of them. I want to read great cyberpunk fanfics but most em are usually dropped.

I realized that a writing a cyberpunk fanfic is harder than it seems, especially for a webnovel audience, you can't do an oc/si fanfic, cause let's face it, who wants to live in a cyberpunk world? wish-fullfilment? that goes against the entire point of Cyberpunk. In night city, you can't get a happy ending, even if you work with the corpos, you're just surrounded by vultures and hyenas, you're as good as a corpse(haha, get it? cause dudes who's a low-class corpo workers are called corpses?... imma just shut up now...), the entire point of Cyberpunk is that it's a tragedy, no one's happy at the end.
