Ornoth: Pfft. What? When did i ever described him as a Gary Stu? If you actually cared to read my review you'd know that i was irritated by the fact the author threw his settings in the bin over and over again. Author: Let's make it so that he can resurrect so maybe we'll have many the myriad realms later on the story. Later: Nope, im binding my soul here cause my family is here and they are very good at me, yippy. Author: Let's give him a tough backstory to make him mature early. Later: Acts like a kid cause his big brother stole his food boohoo. He even wants to kill his brother, like wtf? You'd figure that someone who had a backstory like him would know how his brother feel better than his parents. It should be noted that his brother helps in the farm/work too so his frustrations is reasonable and add the fact the he also hungry. It can't be that hard to understand that the kid is f*cking angry at his parents for making babies again and again when they can't sustain for the whole family. To make things worse they have a patient that needs to be healed every month IIRC. Okay, enough about his family. I'm not even gonna go on and talk about how he singled out his brothers and didn't even tried to mend their relationship when he started earning and bringing money to his home. Now for MC himself. He's cautious, quite edgy and cold sometimes. That's just like him in the previous life, good that's consistency. Then came the stone thingy. The stone can read all of his previous memories like it was Google, and he had no reaction to that at all! Like wtf? Unless transmigration is a norm that's f*cking abnormal. What happened to him being cautious? He didn't even told his PRECIOUS family about being a transmigrator and a random stone he picked up know everything about it. Author just gloss that over, i guess that's not IMPORTANT at all. Then there his contempt for knowledge. Wtf is he talking about rich people being scared because there might not be enough people of certain profession so they spread the knowledge or something like that. Like what? Are you really a Masters Degree holder? Where did you learn your profession? Did learn it all by yourself? I don't remember much now but i was sure it kinda backfired on him when he fought the bear. He thinks that he's still using Earth's logic in this magical world. I thought he'd learn better but nope. He didn't want to go to the University lmao. "Psshh. It's just a university where there can be a bunch of spells he can learn from, nope, not going there." And that's all from what i can remember before dropping this overly rated novel. It's a long rant i know, but that just show how much i liked the idea behind this novel and its sad to see it's potential going to waste because of the authors inconsistencies. It really has a goof premise, i enjoyed around 10-20 chapters of this novel. After that it became boring when the author bends his settings. You see, I've lived long enough to see and and meet people change so much because of the environment they live in. Their personalities warped so much that they became a changed man. And after that even when they found something they want to pursue, they won't change back to the way they were before because they think their behaviour is "natural". And this story does not follow what is "natural". So yeah, ciao~

ZGearCecil: Even if someone had killed themselves over and over again, I wouldn't expect them not to have a psychotic break, after finally finding what they wanted. A tempered will? One's will is not invincible, the MC is not a Garry Stu.

Sigh. This is not even funny anymore. With all the things he experienced you'd figure that he'd be much more mature now. He even found peace when he for the first time experience death. And here we get, a frustrated petulant little b*tch who has anger issues. Not gonna lie i was really hooked at the start and thought this story is going to be big with all the possible worlds the MC may travel into. Instead here we are, stuck in the sh*tty world he is now, scared and dont want to die because he felt warmth for the first time. How laughable, what happened to his tempered Will? The one made him have a strength to commit suicide? I expected to much from this novel yet was betrayed. Dropping this novel. View More

Zatara: I have found yet another gem to my collection! 💎

Can't find any negative critice except for maybe the seemingly slow story development. But I think people should known, that this are one of those novels, that if you begin to read it... you find yourself waiting for more chapters sooner than later 😅

And if I would describe the mc, I would describe him as both calm and agitated at times, but I personally think his agitation is reasonable.

Well... and if you wanna know more, I highly recommend you give it a try 👍

Dontlookdown: Not only one of the few hidden gems, it is also one of the best novels on this site.

In many ways it follows the core concepts of reincarnarion novels. Cheat treasure (in a way), the bad family member, school, and rather overpowered mc (when i say overpowered i mean in the sense of his age group, not the ridiculous type of op).

However, it takes these concepts and changes their direction. Instead of the typical ending to these cliches, it gives a new, refreshing end to them by actually apllying logic and understanding of human emotions. Its an impressive feat honestly.

The mc is also fleshed out. He is not a fully confident all knowing person, he is human. And he in a way is broken. The author tries to make a different mc that is not perfect, but flawed in many ways. Its absolutely wonderful to finally see a character that is able to grow.

And the final thing that i will touch on, mainly because it is something i love and respect the most, is the mcs original world and the way reincarnation affects the mc. Unlike other novels whose mc quickly shakes off any memory of his original world, in this one the original world is alive and well in the mc. It lives through him due to the fact that it caused his broken mentality. Every time the mc is cynical, untrusting, or unreasonably angry, you as the reader know that he is still affected by his old life.

As for him reincarnating, he does not forget about it. In fact he even dwells on it, making him create goals revolving around this mysterious and magical occurence that happened to him. It even makes him question his own existence and what it means for the future.

This is something i truly admire, and i believe it makes the novel even better in its own way.

OldSam: One of the best original novels on this site... even though there are thing that I like and diskile in this novel, overall, is a good read to me. (SPOILER ALERT)

What I like:

- very good pacing

- very good grammar

- smart and calculative mc

- ruthless mc

- hardworking mc

- solus (really usefull companion/ai/equipment)

- nana (his 'magic mentor' i really enjoy the interations with the old perky magician lol)

- character grow (we can see how the characters grow along with the progress of the novel, even though its more mc focused, but i dont have any problems with that)

What I dislike:

- the nobles/young masters trope

- his older brother, that seems going to be an annoying factor through the novel, or at least will come back and bite him in the a*s...

- the 'hidding true strength and look like a scrub' trope... ( well i can understand the hiddind strength part since its logical when you are at the bottom, but so far we have a somewhat ugly mc, i mean every one in his family is somewhat decent and only him and his father seem to be the ugly ones...)(note: he seems to get better looking with each increase of his magic core, but it seems that at best he will be average, which i will be ok with, as long as he doesn't remain ugly lol)

Even though the beginning of the novel may seem slow, or somewhat confusing, it works as an introduction to the mc personality, and help us understand him better, so I suggest that u should read at least 10 chaps before diciding if u like it or not, thats what I always do.

scarlett1414: This story starts quite sad, so I really hope that after reincarnating the mc will find some happiness. I like that the mc isn't an hypocrite self-righteous mc. Cuz when life doesn't give you a fair shake, being tough and just is the right way. Law not always means justice (I really hate when society doesn't condemn a murderer for his "silly mistake").
The story is well written and easy to read, I look forward to reading the new chapters.

ThorAegir: Supreme Magus is one of the best mage development fantasy story that I encoutered among my readings.

The author has created a mana and spell system very complex and detailed, and the characters are varied, well though, and lovable.
The world is also very well designed, with complex political situations and ominous but mysterious threats.

I am a fan !

The development of Lith as a magus some time make me think of the Harry Potter series, but with a ***** point of view and a less manichean approch.

brisingr90: one of the best novel I have read so far, and I read a lot. story development is good, even tho the world building can be a little bit better, but so far so good. character design, is stable, meaning that the MC character, decision, temperament are align with his origin, and age. world background is alright, only lack of its size, since it kinda small for me. total score 4.8

Ryan_Pierce: Overall, the book has an overwhelming sense of self. This isn’t a story that follows every other trope or timeline, but one that follows its own path.

Not only that, the story is consistent and makes sense, the foreshadowing is used correctly, the characters have shown steady, fluid development, and the world is created well. 5/5 stars deserved. This could be published as a paperback eventually as a bestseller if wanted.
