I'm not sure what to say exactly, but I'll try saying it anyways. INEBAMATTF was my first webnovel and the only one that kept my atttention. It's sad to see that it will probably remain unfinished due to the author's (Madame Ru) hiatus/writer's block. I remember when it was first released (yeh i feel old) and its surprisingly well-developed story and character development (compared to those cliche repeated shitposts on a massive scale now, no offense to anyone). When I first started reading it, I thought the title was questionable (it still is) but it was so much better than anything I had read so far. It wasn't perfect but to me, it was sooo refreshing to see a (relatively) non-sexualised female lead that had her own (realistic and reasonable) goals and kept to them. Ling Lan was a rational, genuinely smart female lead who focused on the bigger picture rather than a small corner of the world (unlike what so many novel protagonists do). There are so many shitty protagonists out there that are so focused on a small part of their world (like a royal harem or revenge on relatives and I'm not referring to any novel in particular). Ling Lan had actual character development and not everything was focused around her and the male lead (Li Mulan, Li Lanfeng, Leopard or whatever) which is (extremely, extremely extremely) uncommon among chinese novels with a female protagonist. She stands on HER OWN, and we're reminded that she is an individual and not an accessory to any male lead or anybody else. I think I'm going to stop reading on Webnovel, this book was literally the only reason why I bothered logging on (a few years ago before life kicked me in the face). I've logged on in the first time in years lol, and everything has become a bit more.... monetized. It's sad to see that money is prioritized over reader enjoyment. I'll give this a 5- star rating because it's a whole lot more deserving than a good chunk of novels on this platform. Goodbye Lan Luofeng, Ling XIao, Luo Chao, Han Xuya, the other Han strategist dude, Qi Long, Little Four, Little Blossom, Instructor No.1 (and all the instructors), Xie Xi, Leopard and all of the memorable characters which I can't really pronounce, type or remember. And finally, goodbye Boss Lan. Thanks to the translators, fellow readers and the author for making this the most enjoyable novel that I will (definitely) never ever ever ever forget. Thank you everyone! [img=recommend]
