Unfortunately I'm dropping this at chapter 900.Pros:The author writes at a steady pace and lets readers know if there will be any interruptions to the schedule. The grammar is fine, more or less. Sometimes the wrong homophone is used or some other typo pops up but they're sporadic enough to not be irritating.Cons:Prose isn't anything to write home about. The author goes for quantity over quality and that sometimes leads to repetitive phrases and slow pacing.Possibly my fault for misinterpreting the synopsis but this is a cultivation novel, not a sci-fi or fantasy novel. The explanations for many things are handwaved as "higher dimension=stronger", and how someone at a higher dimensional level is a God to someone at the dimensions below them, yet the main character somehow manages to battle across multiple dimension levels. At some point you stretch too far and the suspension of disbelief breaks. The power system is convoluted with too many aspects fighting for your attention. Each person can have possibly many Lineage Factors with each having multiple branches and uses, a dimension level for their ability, a dimension level for their body, a dimension level for their mind, a dimension level for their existence?? as well as various miscellaneous strength improvements like elemental affinity, mage aptitude, styles of combat, battle techniques, domains, and more. The character development is terrible. There is our main character, and then there is his damsel in distress. There is so much buildup for the main character to finally find a purpose in life, saying that he'll be a monster when he has a goal to work towards. That goal ends up being possibly the most common one you can find in any wuxia. Before this point, which is very late into the story, all of the main character's actions are driven by him wanting to help his love interest. The plot armor gets extra plating whenever she's in trouble, and the main character will drastically improve his strength somehow without fail in order to save her. She isn't even weak herself, but the author constantly writes her getting into trouble that she's helpless against but the main character is always able to save her. Her emotional maturity also never develops since her introduction. The novel would benefit immensely if she was just taken out of the story. The poor character development of those two characters wouldn't stand out as much if it wasn't for the fact that there are zero developed side characters. Most of them will fit into a trope and never develop beyond.

pecuniary = relating to money, from latin "pecunia"... meaning money

On the forum, everybody discussed the pecuniary prospects of the Mage as a class.
