vandeliue knows more specially with all the demon king body parts he accunlates into his soul and everything he learns as the true god of death

Mostly though, he learned this not from Mahito, but from Vandalie from Death Mage Doesn't Want a 4th Time. The kid made Mahito look like a baby when it came to souls. He could learn a lot from him which cemented that world as a future destination.
