CocoaButter: I was excited at first when I read the fact that this novel would be realistic and not fantasy/reincarnation type of novel. However, reading the novel was very bland tbh. Usually it is the character that makes the story boring for me but this time the pace, story building and the structure language of the novel was disappointing to say the least. There isn't much description, there is a lot of conversations but it doesn't fit with the surroundings. The character building was unsuccessful. Even if the protagonist was a loser, at least the author was making enough effort to make the readers have that impression. In this case the character is just there. He just exists. I have nothing else to add.

NinjaKittens: Story of a man going to work....incredibly boring.
No real hook to get you into it, bland characters, cliched "lucky" breaks.
Read God of Money or 12 hours after instead

uberdriver: I give one because he lied... I came for the fluffiness described in summary. Im sick of the revenge cycle of xianxia. Dont read if I dont like and dont post anything if I dont like? Its my right and my will so before anyone rant about why I should pay respect, I don't sell my respect cheap and not freely given. Summary even lied.. Why should I show respect.

NightWalkerWolfGod: 71 chapters in an I still do not see the MC being carefree as the summary says.
MC is brutal, dragged into the xianxia type of kill or be killed. The part about him quietly tending his farm is actually a lie - he sneaks out and kills his enemies, and then heads back. I was expecting more carefree and his opponents not being able to do a thing to him while he peacefully farms, or needs to defeat his enemies only when trouble arrives with a snap of his hand. The dreams aren't actually told, just mentioned at a glance.
Characters are a joke, MC is barely ok based on what he does, but everyone else has a scheming third villain type of personality. What a joke. The ferret and the eagle has a better personality than the enemies.

The 30 chpts in the beginning is ok. There was potential. Spiritual knights sound interesting, but 70 chapters in, MC is letting me down.

At a certain chapter, it is briefly mentioned a particular alchemist refuses to help sects because he is carefree and could care less about the world. I think the real MC is actually that alchemist and not the current MC since this MC is being a petty typical xianxia MC that aims to kill everyone who threatens him and not a carefree one like the summary described. Seriously, if someone thought you were dead and you escaped, why bother going back to kill the guy if he never put you in his eyes, nor will he attempt to find you since you aren't related to a sect and live in a secluded valley?

The other thing that bothered me is how the MC would go through a dead body and search through it - blood and guts because he found a treasure inside the guy and not on his bag/loot. I'm hoping I really read that wrong since MC is not being an ideal character to represent a carefree path in the world of dreams.

Seronis: Read the title. Learned nothing about the story other than the translator is too lazy to translate. Read synopsis. Still have learned nothing other than they have no idea what the words summary/synopsis even means. Read reviews. Only learned that everyone else knows equally nothing about what the story involves.

Not hopeful about reading

Vighnesh_93: The author probably wrote the story while being drunk. I can't make any sense of where the story is going.

I probably gonna skip reading the story from chapter 4.

CocoaButter: I don't want to be the bad cop here but this is the most confusing novel I read in a long while. The author is trying too hard to make it mysterious and intriguing yet it is a big fail. It is a mess. There is no flow at all with the storyline, it has like random pieces trying to integrate. The main character's development is oddly flat, it is like seeing different personalities in a bipolar human form. We might as well not know who he is. I don't recommend this.

SmilingReader: The synopsis doesn’t tell you anything about the story. What’s the point in having one then?

I know I’ve only read a few chapters but it seems like the author likes to keep things hidden for the sake of being mysterious. So far all I know is that the MC got saved from drowning as a child and after that got involved in the military and met some influential people. At the moment he seems like he wants to help his friends company but I’m not sure how since there’s not much info about him except he has some connections and have abit of money.

I’m not sure on what type of novel this is but I wish for the translator to actually write something about it other than the unhelpful synopsis that’s provided.

Gamedevil: Wether you call it Sohoo or Protect tells me nothing, neither does the synopsis provide any information about the webnovel. And guess what, neither does reading the first few chapters. So what's it about ? Your guess is as good as mine.

shelwyn: I started to skim read after chapter 46, nothing in particular made me give up but let me tell you about how all the little things added up and made me dislike it.

The novel starts off with the MC in an accident and an old grandma saving him. Then it skips right into a scene where the MC is in his 30s or 40s and is talking to some corporate big shot really ambiguously. You have no idea what's going on, no idea what kind of novel your reading, nothing. The first chapter failed to introduce anything and chapter 2 just jumped right into the story.

Once the novel starts going into it full swing it ends up having way too many conversations and actions that need a deep cultural understanding of Korea to understand.

Things like famous districts, gang relationships, underground deals, Korean politics, relationships with nearby countries. It's too much for people who don't know about Korea like a Korean citizen.

The updates come in random spurts and aren't in any way stable.

The story has nearly no World Background or development. It just throws you into Korea and expects you to know the small details of Korean culture.

A mass of characters are thrown into your face and they have very long names and are named similarly. It's hard to remember who is who and keep track of who did what and their relationship with each other.

The story development keeps the MC's background ambiguous and it's really annoying. It's subtle to the point of being stupid. The MC makes a phone call, some problem he was just told about is suddenly resolved by his ambiguous words? Thanks was that supposed to show how powerful the MC is? All I see is poor writing or a very bad translation that's missing all the important details.

Well that's it I really don't recommend going into this one. If your Korean just read the original if you aren't don't bother you won't enjoy it.

somazing: I'm gonna say it again and again, the chestnut's translation was better than QI's. Look at the description. The MC's name is inconsistent. One is Seong and the other one is Sang. And this is what you called an official translation?

They really had the nerve to delete my previous comment huh.

wrw215: It is nice that there is an offical translator again for this novel but with this quality is just bad so many translation errors especially a name butchering seldom seen and there is even an translation already available for guidience. It would wise to rework the existing 80 chapters because at moment it is a nusience to read.

Yeah: This is a nice novel, however this translation leaves much to be desired. The quality of the novel is greatly reduced because of the lacking translation.
