To be honest, it's really sad that he was forced to give up on what he wanted.. In the beginning, it may seem funny in the readers eyes but every time, Lin Xiao's desire reminder the readers.. It's like a dream that you are forced to give up because of your circumstances and fate.. The fact that he understand that it's impossible now... Its shown that he became more mature and understand that been an adult required yourself to sacrifice something even if you don't realised what it's anymore.. He still has many things that haven't been learned but he understand that he's a leader... Been a leader meant, you have a heavy responsibility for your subordinate or Comrades.

Lin Xiao closed his eyes. Being an Emperor… really was not easy. He really just wanted to be a free cultivator who could do whatever he wanted. But with the burden of being the leader of a kingdom rest on his shoulder, it was now impossible.
