Bingo. Maybe some really quick groups might've been lucky enough to grab a treasure? Don't know if that'd be a good thing. Might be better to pray for some kind of allies that escaped the transformation. It's not looking good.

100%. This has already proven to be a dangerous plane. Now Juin wants to save the resident 'humans.' The difficulty level just magnified: how much power does one need to do something like that? Who and why did they do it? Probably want to seize the treasures.

I wonder how long it's been since they were turned/morphed into creatures. If they still remember being human, then it should be pretty recent. Thinking the group is with the 'enemy' might be why they're attacking. Seems contradictory since they knew which direction the culprit was in, but maybe their consciousness has been lessened to a more beastlike level.

Maybe. I just don't remember him acting this way. Might have to go back and re-read Atlantis, but don't remember him deciding to solve the ghost mystery and end slavery during that arc. He ended up involved, but didn't purposely decide to cast away the competition in favor of doing it himself. It seemed a bit forceful in my opinion, but could be only me. Again, I'd have to re-read due to the long break.

Is Juin going to operate like everything is benign even when it attacks first? Not sure how I feel about this development. I don't like characters that just sling their fists around, but Juin is being a little too .... nice? Unless he knows something we don't, then Juin seems a bit unreasonable in this unknown, hostile environment.

The python realized what could have happened to him if Juin did not distract Luca. One of its heads, the one with a cross on its forehead who was clearly doing the strategizing, nodded at Juin while the other one glared at Luca angrily.

Probably for the storyline, but this seems too impulsive. You were sent to a whole new dimension with enemies both known and unknown and are in a 'race.' This should still be your primary goal after survival. Finding out what happened in this world will probably factor into the plot, but Juin's outlook seems a bit ..... forced?

They were the same as you, but didn't they attack you pretty much unprovoked? Self defense is a thing.

Juin sat up and looked at Lucifer. "To you, humans are nothing but weaklings and livestock. But I'm a human, and they are my people. Even if we are from different worlds, they are still the same as me."
