To be fair- they’re also beneficial for anyone who isn’t with the MTA.

The fact that the Resonance Smith led the unruly Unbound Humanity Faction did not even disturb anyone. His political views were definitely controversial, but that had nothing to do with his works!

Unless it turns out they are required to be installed in all proto- god mechs, then it just gets offensive.

"You do not need true mechs." Master Benedict Cortez told the projections of Patriarch Reginald Cross and General Ark Larkinson. "From what I can surmise based on the limited information released up to this point, true mechs give ordinary mech pilots more resistance when fighting against exotic enemies. They may possess other strengths as well that the mechers have yet to mention, but fundamentally speaking these true mechs exist to solve a problem that their intended users cannot solve by themselves. Both of you possess extraordinarily strong willpower. If you are strong enough to maintain your fighting spirit when entering the God Kingdom of a god pilot, then complete neural interfaces are redundant for your mechs."

Assuming the AI doesn’t over rule them…

As long as he was able to skip most of the notoriously intractable bureaucracy of the fleeters and negotiate directly with the actual people in charge, he was sure he could establish a fantastic partnership.

Outside crippled Ace and Expert pilots who already can’t use another mech...

This was a major shortcoming that massively dampened his target audience's enthusiasm for Carmine mechs.

Sure they’d be under threat of assassination- but still, why not mail him some of their apprentices alongside a new ship?

"The Terrans are making too much progress! We need to do more to drag Professor Larkinson away from their clutches! What is the Impresario Prince doing? Why has he failed to persuade Professor Larkinson to visit the Rubarthan Pact? Doesn't he have a good relationship with the Destroyer of Worlds? Why haven't any of them sent any of their mech designers to study his craft?! The fact that this has not happened yet indicates that we have vastly underutilized our relationship with the famous mech designer! Even those filthy dwarves have managed to send a batch of their young talents to his design lab!"

Fun fact- Exlor invaded half the world looking for spices, and then decided he didn’t like any of them.

"That… sounds like its makers tried to come up with any words that they could mash together to form this specific name."

So partial stealth? Just stealthy enough to confuse sensors without actually being harder to find?

Gloriana shook her head yet again. "No. That is not a good idea. Pure stealth will go against the character of the Dark Zephyr. The machine is not afraid of exposing himself to the enemy. The expert light skirmisher relies on speed and maneuverability to avoid getting hit, but doing so requires him to make a lot of intensive movements. It is not realistic for the Dark Zephyr to remain in stealth because of all of the volatile movements and excessive heat buildup."

Clearly you already are by not having a second son.

Ves continued to wonder how he could prevent the first dominoes from falling as his main consciousness faded into slumber.

Clearly the solution is to not grow a beard.

Though he had no idea how he could warrant such a label, Ves vowed to himself that he would never let himself end up in this sorry position!

Especially since they’ve recently been associating with the Rubarthans, meaning people could outbid them purely out of spite.

Ves immediately lost his mood when he heard that. The Larkinson Clan should be able meet the requirements to attend these exclusive auctions, but whether it could win a bid was another matter!

Have they considered Starbucks as a backup plan?

They took considerable risks to join the Larkinson Clan. If their applications got rejected for any reason, then they had to look for an entirely different job.

95% isn’t good enough when the 5% to get through are one hit kills.

"The efficiency of my energy shields can be brought to another level by activating one of my proprietary software programs that can dynamically regulate the activation of my energy shields, thereby reducing the strain to the energy shield generator and energy reserves of the mech by over 70 percent. It is not completely foolproof, but it can activate energy shields fast enough to block over 95 percent of incoming attacks."

Spares, because you never know when the early ones will die in an accident orchestrated by their siblings.

No one knew what the Seven Star Emperor had in mind when he kept producing offspring like there was no tomorrow, but it left his later descendants in a particularly awkward position.

Incompatible? No, just not properly explored and exploited.

"This is impossible! I am not an expert in molecular disintegration technology, but from what I have read about Master Quan's work, his exotic weapon systems have never demonstrated the capacity to bypass energy shields of any kind! Molecular disintegrators aren't even transphasic because their tech is incompatible with phasewater."

To your knowledge. you know nothing about them however, so they could just as well be responsible for exporting some of humanities most important tech to the aliens.

The Indigo Cell already sounded whacky enough, but at least it did not directly engage in any measures that led to the deaths of lots of humans.

Yes, and they view Ves the same way, or worse- with a massive bounty on his head and an offer to turn his killer into a hid grade god.

"This is anything but a good development, Professor Larkinson!" Master Quan insisted! "Red humanity is so outnumbered by the native aliens that it is impossible for us to win the Red War by ourselves! Only by finding common ground with the aliens and making peace with the more receptive among them can we hope to save our race and turn the Red Ocean into a multi-racial paradise. It does not help that our god pilots are more prone to be regarded as unholy demons rather than gods that deserve their respect. It is nearly impossible to convince the vast majority of aliens that our god pilots and Star Designers are equivalent to their phase leaders. Our Cross-Species Pantheon Plan has never been able to launch due to this setback."

Put to death? More likely been r*ped to death.

"Why? Because I hate you, that's why! Years ago, my daughter participated in a skirmish against the Pangu lineage on your orders, "leader" Dante. Yet, she and her entire squad were captured and would almost have been put to death if I hadn't negotiated quickly with Brother Lingtian."

TLDR- handmade everything is a viable marketing strategy in the Rubarthian Mech market- on the understanding that stops being viable if you become popular.

"Compared to the Terran mech market, the Rubarthan mech market is not as difficult to enter as an independent." Master Kreshnik freely shared. "The former is largely captured by old and established brands. Terran customers are much more accustomed to work with a selection of trusted mech companies over the long term. There are Rubarthan customers that adopt the same approach, but since our mech market is more dynamic, there is much more acceptance to purchasing standalone mechs to adapt to changing circumstances or address an immediate shortcoming. However, the level of competition in the market is so high that you need to be the best in your field to sell more than a handful of copies."
