Generic eavesdrop on my heart novel but somehow worse. The writting is upper quality, edited mtl. The author tried to add some twists like straight off killing one of the heroines, having a villainess that can't eavesdrop but is reincarnated(though she might be a shitty yandere so that might work for some people) or having the MC find out early that he's being eavesdropped on, but said twists just make the story worse. It tried to be special but really didn't succeed in any positive way. Especially him finding out that the heroines can hear his heart, it completely invalidates the whole premise and just became a messenger system where he can talk to them. It happening much later when he's expressed his true thoughts more and actually met most of the heroines would be okay, but this early it just kills the whole concept, might as well call it "I can talk to the heroines directly in their head" or something. The MC is very generic but with even less empathy than the usual chinese MC's, which says a lot. It also seems to be going the route of petty revenge against characters that didn't actually do anything in the present and have no chance of doing any of their future actions. If you're one of those 12 year old edgelords, you might find some parts interesting but I wouldn't recommend it because it's not all edge, if you're looking for a decent MC I still wouldn't recommend it since the MC is kinda shit. Just search for some chinese translations, they'll tide you over for quite some time until the chinese racism and nationalism becomes unbearable, but up until that point it's going to be a more interesting read.

Could be worse, could be better. The scope of the setting feels way too big to me but that's not a given yet. There's a lot of info dumpy stuff that I care very little about but mecha fans might enjoy the technobabble, The fact that he barely read the setting he incarnated in makes the the premise kinda meh and fails to scratch that itch that this genre would usually satisfy. I feel like it's a middle ground where nobody will feel satisfied. The biggest issue this has is the characters, so far there's not one character that's actually likeable. The MC is super submissive to the women so far, very little self respect present in him. Feels like he continued being a side character even after the memories got unlocked. A more proactive side character but one nonetheless. Smells very Japanese MC so far. The main heroine so far is feels like a generic chinese cold beauty with no redeeming feature beyond said beauty. The usual stupid cliche of the MC being sometime afraid of her obviously has to happen. The mc feels like her lapdog now that I think about it, literally has to ask permission to go out at night and he gets warned not to ruin the family name. The guy is then happy he's allowed to go walkies, it's kinda hilarious but also sad. The fact that he's trying to make the marriage work with such a character just makes it sad in general. The maid/second heroine is the worst offender, she's actively antagonistic for no real reason and the MC just keeps accepting the abuse. Please note that the MC has the memories of his body and even with an outsiders perspective can't tell what her issues her. Her role so far was to verbally abuse the MC in every interaction they have while the Japanese MC keeps wondering what he did wrong and how he can make it up to her. The rest of the characters either have other issues that make them meh, like the mother withholding arguably valuable information for a happier married life, or didn't get enough screen time yet beyond a scene or two.

>Night City is the harem. Well, that's mighty disappointing. I'm not gonna give you any grief but many people will if this pops off, it is sorta fake advertising. Either way, good luck with the fic.

"Actually, they were the ones who found me, but thank you," said Nie Li trying to keep a distance from her. "Where are the others?"
