Maybe she used trick to access it. Seal isn't perfect and each pathway has some broken abilities. I think Cheek was trying to get access to it through mirror. Maybe she (knowing she can't physically access it) tried to get her reflection there (maybe swap with it, transfer part of soul etc.) and something went wrong and her reflection become self-awarene. Who is original I am not sure.

Lumian and the others understood that the false deity he was talking about was Primordial Demoness Cheek. As an evil deity overseeing the mirror world, it made sense that Her descendants would have close ties to that unique realm.

I thought he talks about Primordial Demoness. They believe that PD is false and real one is their Demoness in mirror. So false deity is PD and her descendants are connected with mirrors. With how Demoness families work, I wouldn't be surprised by such twist.

I don't think she gave it to them. She should be in trouble even in first book, if I remember right. And we are talking about Amon there. He could easily cooperate with Medici and Adam to steal sequence 1., from Demoness. Especially if she is in bad state. Maybe her state was so bad, she didn't absorb sequence 1., from red priest, to not lose control. So sequence 1., would be in for of artefact or something similar. Even easier to steal. I already saw contradicting information on wiki (maybe they are fixed already, I didn't check) so I usually want something like it was told in book or something like that (not what chapter etc., just if you genuinely read it and remember it).

Two/three questions/ideas. 1. Are you sure pale empress is sequence 1. I don't remember it being stated in books. I think pale empress could be sequence two angel. I also wouldn't be surprised, if she was incarnation of Evernight Goddess or something like that. So one sequence 1. BCh of death pathway could be in game. 2. When Medici appeared in this book, he was already sequence 1. But if I remember right (I could be wrong, it's some time), he was lower level in book 1. Actually, his last appearance I remember from book is him infiltrating Demoness group, when Amon appears before him (make fun of him with monocle on wrong eye) and strike some sort of deal with him. So what if they stolen sequence 1., from Demoness? That would explain it and leave one sequence 1. in wild for author. 3. Even if other sequences 1. are in different places, there could still be sequence 2. (3.4.etc.) in flag from both pathways. Getting sequence 2 and uniquess of Red priest would be still big help to Lumian and make him candidate for Red priest.

Even if they aren't part of same Sefirot like MGoD and Lilith etc., CoI may target pathways of Nation of disorder too. Just like MToD targeted Klein. So school of truth can be his enemy.
