all good systems of magic explain how they work

(AN: Please let me know if are these chapters with an exploration of magic boring or not. I personally like them more than just using the method of one sentence encompassing the whole learning process. Here is an example, "Vesuvius studied magic for hours and learned a new super cool spell.". This way, not only will MC learn principles of magic, but readers too, hopefully increasing their immersion that way. So let me please know what you think about this approach.)

are species that workers can become a queen some colonies are only workers and then there's a worker that took over the responsibility of being the queen and any worker can usurp them and become the "queen". if you want to learn more about ants I'd recommend a channel called antscanada on YouTube

uh I am kinda an ant nerd but they have alates(butchered the spelling) male and female and a queen ant is a mated alate the male dies after mating. it is bees you're thinking of that it's a diet, but you could have it that way for your novel
