Cantiara: This is just my observation, I don't have any statistics to serve as an evidence, so take it with a grain of salt. But I think Chinese women are generally sexually repressed. They have to curb their own sexual desires and therefore can't let out their urges in a healthy way possible. It causes stress, confusion and sometimes even delusions. And rape is seen as something that allows these women to know (and as twisted as it sounds but sometimes enjoy) what sex is like without having to feel guilty of challenging the social expectations of them. Hello! Thank you very much for the get well wishes. I only read them all now. I appreciate all the concern. Sorry for worrying all of you.
I got released from the hospital last week, but had to spend the past few days undergoing medical tests. So I'm currently on a one week rest. I'm feeling better now. Actually, I'm already feeling better when I got out of the hospital, but I promised my loved ones to focus on resting this entire week. I'm not going to be hardheaded anymore (hopefully) because I got scolded by my friend very badly. Thankful for her.
I plan on returning to posting chapters around next week. Please look forward to it. I can't say exactly when, though. I'm currently being monitored by family and friends to make sure nothing happens to me again like last week. So my online time will be limited around this time.
Once again, thank you very much for all of your support! I will come back soon and continue Iris & Jin Liwei's story for all of us. I'll also focus on staying healthier so something like this won't happen again.

Xincerely: For the past couple of weeks, I have been pondering about this idea for a while, but I have finally come to a conclusion: I am going to take a break from writing. But wait, don't fret! It will not be a permanent or a really long time. I was hoping for a 2-3 week break. For the past month or so, I have been facing a major burn out and writer's block that I was hoping to remedy. Unfortunately, continuing to force myself to write has only worsened the problem. It has gotten to the point of where I can barely writer chapters, nor feel the motivation to do so.
In regards to why there was only one chapter today, I was only supposed to take a short 30 minute nap yesterday night (around 8PM). However, my phone wasn't charging, so it died on me before I could wake up. My exhaustion made me realize how sleep deprived I am because of the novel. My duties to school, my family, my friends, my after-school program has consumed the majority of my schedule and homework usually takes a couple hour to finish. Often, I begin writing around 8-9PM, if I try my hardest to not take breaks in between. This results in me going to bed around 12-1am every single day and I wake up for school at exactly 6:30. Surviving on 5-6 hours of sleep, I am beyond exhausted everyday and can barely function anymore.
In short, because of lack of sleep and writer's block, I will be taking a 2-3 week break. I'm really sorry about everything...T_TMr. Tycoon's Daring Wife · C392
