if you want a book that'll make you upset for 150+ chapters read this one. I have read up to 178 at this point and there is literally no character development whatsoever for anyone in this book. Not the ML, FL or anyone. This book is about a girl who got to marry the boy she loved for over ten years through an arranged marriage. The boy however was in love with another girl - the daughter of a mistress. The family would not approve of her (because of her background and character), so to prevent them from being together, they threatened the illegitimate girl's life. This is the circumstance that the FL married her husband that she's been secretly in love with for over 10+ years. This is where the conflict occurs. She thought time would breed love and he thought she wanted his status and money. However, him loving someone else does not prevent him from having sex with her everyday. Fast forward three years, where the story starts and the first love is back, sick with leukemia and want her rightful position. Our female lead just found out she's pregnant and gets greeted with a conversation about divorce when she reaches home. He wants to leave her since the woman he loves is back. She asks if what he'll do if she was pregnant and he said she'll have to abort it. No obstacles is the way of his love with another would be tolerated. She jokes that she was lying. He has sex with her then send her to the hospital to get a check up .She fakes the results and he believes it. One thing to remember is that almost everyone you meet, that's not a jealous woman who wants her position, loves her. His grandparents, mother, father, cousin, auntie, past friends, new people she just met loves her. Only the husband doesn't know what a gem she is 🙄. So for 178 chapters, there's repeated marital rape. Doesn't matter if she says no or he says he won't touch her. When he's horny he forces himself on her and enjoys her sobs, moans and tears. He like the bruises that coats her skin afterward. The husband is very possessive. So even though he's the one who wanted a divorce, when he realizes that she's surrounded by outstanding men who are waiting for him to leave her to pursue her. He no longer wants to leave her. He can't stand the thought of her being with someone else. He treats her like a pet that he has sex with. Her opinions and decisions are brushed away in a nonchalant manner. This brings me to the last straw for me. After hiding her pregnancy for three months (twins by the way), the mistress decides to do something awful. She's dying, the FL bone marrow is a match for her and the husband is falling in love with the FL. So she drugs the FL and takes her bone marrow. Killing her twins in the process. What does the husband do. Send her to a mansion to recuperate from surgery and then to send her abroad to never come back. 😐. Seriously? The FL asked him to cripple her in compensation and he agreed. He found a substitute and did it. Utterly ridiculous. The FL has long hated him to her bone. Every conversation she has with him she asks for a divorce, which in turn makes him not want to do it even more? Who are you to leave me? Who are you to abandon me? It doesn't matter what my decisions caused you to face or lose. You loved me then so you'll have to love me for the rest of your life. Yes, you hate me to your core right now but you're hopeless against me and my power. As long as I don't divorce you, you'll love me again cause I love you now.... So he's holding a wedding to let everyone know she's his wife...after three years of marriage. It doesn't matter if she doesn't want to, she has too. Utterly no respect and love at all. Just a possession she is to him. So I'm at 178, day of wedding. First live crashes wedding with two perfectly fine feet in a white dress. FL gold's a glass to her throat to threaten for a divorce. I'll see how this plays out.
