Ark, I love that you're one of the most responsive authors here. Don't follow advice on this topic. We don't know where the book is going and you know what's best. (Even if I make suggestions all the time) If you think a character needs to be fleshed out, write that chapter. World building is one of the strong points and keep going. If you feel the story isn't advancing enough, don't. Do what you think is best and it will be a better story for it.

Honestly, when I read this chapter so many bad events ran through my head. With any sense of reality this will turn out terribly. In a time of turmoil(now) who’s going to stop families from robbing a store for food. The chief of police is probably “farming” Power vacuums are terrible for a society. Eventually, after thinking of a lot of examples it reached the point of SO ridiculous that I stopped caring and moved on. There will be no closure here

Maybe but what path? Get ashore asap? That might get points, but not the max. Maximize points? Probably cant do that because your oracle rank wont be high enough. And any path would go against the goal of strengthening mental fortitude. Ark has made a good case for oracle paths being situational and not at all OP.

I finally realized why I like this novel so much. The author uses misunderstanding for comedy not conflict. So many stereotypical CN have a "villain" mistake the MC as normal then there's conflict. It is also guaranteed that the misunderstanding will be cleared up making the novel predictable. Here there is misunderstanding but I can actually laugh at it because there is no pressure to resolve it. IDK if Lu Ming will find out if he texted the wrong person but either way its funny.
