Still, looking back, I stand by it. Not only because I do think it gave me a better grasp of the 'waifus' and practice writing their characters, but also because I still think too much of fanfiction, especially self-insert fanfiction, is simply a repeat of canon events.

Yeah, unlike in those Pokémon games where the player characters are only 10 years old, here in PokeWack World everyone begun their adventures when they reach the age of 18. Who in the right mind would let a 10 years old kid controlling a fire breathing monster roam the world freely without any restraint and guidance from their parents or guardians anyway, right?
