I like the old style a lot better. No more torture chairs made of bones or chimera ants making people extras in A Serbian Film. I miss those days!

When I first read up to this part I thought Marcus gave Shinon something like a roofy or other memory altering drug, not just that she was waking up groggy as I figured out when I later read the next paragraph. It funny how a stopping point van temporarily change the whole flow of the story!

Confusion washed over Selena as she tried to piece together what had happened. She couldn't recall how she had returned to the settlement, the events after her capture fading into a haze. Her memory seemed fragmented, disjointed, and she struggled to make sense of it all.
