I agree it is why I said that a hero must bear the mantle of responsibility. that mantle comes in many forms. But if the law fails them, then it is on the law to change in order to not fail them again. If the law makers keep failing then it’s only the people to vote someone who won’t. If the people keep failing themselves because it’s easier to blame the heros then nothing will ever change. You got to understand the only thing keeping heros from killing everyone and ruling the world is their morals. The law gives people the illusion of control over the heros. Some heros also have families so they stand lose a lot. We then ask the heros to kill because the people can’t, where is the justice in that. The heros are not normal people in this case. It’s very easy to see a villian and their death at the hands or heros and picture them going rogue killing massive civilians. They stop becoming pillars of light and start become something to be feared. If one hero messes up then the entire org is demonized. We can see it in real life on the police, when they kill or when a group of them mess up. I think that in last resort they should kill tho, such as a mass casualty event I.e the joker blowing up a hospital.. or metropolis.. It’s why I suggested Cadmus, there has to be a front, a “light side”, that gives people the illusion that their heros are clean. Cadmus must be the dark side that cleans up.

Why not do the same? Why leave lunatics like the Joker alive who couldn't care less about their victims?

Because that’s how people sometimes speak to each other. They sometimes give a more direct way of answering question and sometimes a more indirect way. For exampl,e if someone asks me my favorite sport. I could say, I like the Miami dolphins. This is me assuming you know about American football because you asked about sports and this is me informing you indirectly that, American football is my favorite and in particular this is my favorite team. From there a conversation can start and sometimes speed up useless banter. If you don’t know about the dolphins then you don’t know American football, so having a convo about sports would become dull for me. I could also give you 2 answers by says I like both the Miami dolphins and the lakers. Basically skipping several steps and giving you the Info needed to carry on the conversation.

That was the lore explanation of the situation but if you have javik, an actual prothean, with you to meet vendetta in thesia. It will Tell you how a indoctrinated splinter group sabotage the crucible and prevented them from finishing it. Javik then states “ I always expect as much” meaning that the likelihood of sabotage was always present and back up plans were in place sure as javik being part of the group of protheans that went to stasis. Here’s the thing. The information on the crucible was found on mars, javik would later say that they found ruins on mars that belong to the insunnuon the assumed dominant species of the previous cycle. It’s assumed that’s where they got the tech and knowledge about the crucible, and they build upon it. The part that doesn’t make sense is by the time the crucible was being built as later be sabotage. most of the prothean empire was in shambles and everyone worked in splinter groups, guerilla warfare, it’s also why javik didn’t know for sure about the crucible details. The problem is that the reapers do know about the weapon. They sabotage it. Also how did that data end up making its way all the way over to the mars research station. By the time the reaper invasion had started the protheans had many fall back plans, such as the stasis, the crucible and the next generation species (humans) they left the place to distract the reapers away from other worlds. Unless you run with the theory that the crucible was in fact a reaper technology or inspired, the lore becomes murky.

I won't lie, it was ugly, uglier than I imagined. However, we won the war using the Red Ending, which destroyed every kind of sentient machine in the universe, even our allies. A high price to pay, but we didn't have many options.

Leaning on the ship's railing, I looked out into a metaphorical and literal ocean of stars. A seemingly infinite set of far distant lights that each represented entire worlds, entire solar systems, and perhaps even entire galaxies that I couldn't make out with the naked eye. Between them all, the void was as Endless as my Deathly lover.

Reminds me of FF air ships

The boat had a treated oak hull more than strong enough to hold under its own weight, even on dry land. It looked decently standard for the sailing ships I was used to. But at the same time, she had a flair that was unique to her. The sails were in untraditional places for a sea ship — mostly at the bow and stern but also on the outer hull in places that would have usually been beneath the waterline. Since this was a space sloop, it seemed that Savage (or whoever he got to build the thing) had a bit of fun with it.

Because their minds, mentality, social customs and teaching prepare them for the life of long lived species. They don’t go charging in as if they are running out of time. They go in walking, analyzing, gathering and waiting. Humans lifespan has define them in a way that makes then ambitious and determined in their goals. It’s one of the reasons why the MC is losing his mind after several reincarnations. He needs to do something, has to do something, wants to do something. There’s a lot more reasons of course but it is a factor.

By the way, with 'only' 250 years of experience, Samael considered himself stronger than most, but the puzzling thing to him was how come the Asari, who had 4x his lifespan, hadn't dominated the galaxy already? With their lifespan and the things they could do with it, the only reason they haven't done so must be pretty good... or stupid.
