So far, it's a really satisfying read for me personally because I have been craving a novel with an extremely lucky mc. Just a brainrot, dumb, slice of life silly novel.I am only 10 or so chapters in so the review may changes but so far:Pros: Light readEntertaining Interesting conceptCons:character development???world building???mc where are your emotions?Overall, it's a decent novel and im quite enjoying reading it to pass time. However, it is a very surface level book and based on other reviews I have read, this book seems to do a poor job at explaining different aspects.And, from what I have read, this mc doesn't seem to be surprised at the new world? Astonishment? Excitement? Fear? Nothing, cardboard mc but you know what, it's what I'm enjoying currently. Light easy read that you shouldn't think too hard about. I give it a 6.8/10

This story has already been completely translated online some where so don't waste your time on webnovel!!!! I would like to think i rarely give a full 5 star review because there's always parts im not statisfied with and althoigh this novel may be slightly cliche, it is very realistic. Many may not enjoy or like how realistic the ending is thinking it as bland or boring or something but personally i quite enjoyed this book overall.

Ok, now that I've read this entire thing I can guve a proper review. I just want to first make a disclaimer: This book is full of flaws and issues 😭😭😭 Positives: -stability was really nice as i read this -characters are more relatable than most cn novels ive read -it has interesting concepts Negatives: -the fuck is the pacing???? Sometimes it'll be 100 chapters before i get one month and others suddenly 10000 years have past in like 2 -character development is pretty much non-existent for the first 600 probably more chapters -MC does some questionable things 🤨 Overall, it's entertaining but i wouldnt recommend sitting down and just reading it. I was reading it because I had time and it was like 2 chapters a day. I will say, if youre looking for character development this book is not for you. There are also so many plots holes and MC seems like a slight moron but it all gets explained in like the last 100 chapters. This book made me feel brain dead and the ending was left so ambiguous like??? My mans, atleast give me a sidestory. (also if you want pet interactions, it has none dispite the title literally being about a pet store and that's kind of like the entire story)

Can we talk about how fucking disgusting this novel is? First off, the ML straight up kidnaps, r@pes, and abuses the FL. I am sorry how the hell is this on webnovel??? Should i even be surprised?? I read the raws to this back when the eng translation was first gettung publish and i remember being so disgusted with this stupud fucking novel hoping it was some sort of sick joke but it wasn't. Don't waste your time on this, other than the triggering topics, the plot is terrible, and all of the ML acfions are just justified because of a disorder???? I am sorry that is straight disrespectful and rude. Disorders shouldn't be used as something to enble unjustified and cruel actions. Just.... Phew ok, I'm going to try and not ramble too much. Me coming across this book was a complete accident that happened like 2-3months ago maybe?? Then I decided to pick it up and boy... it's so good bro. Honestly speaking, it's probably in the top 3 of my fav qt novels and top 5 of fav novels at the moment. Everything seems pretty well thought out and genuinely it's a very interesting and unique novel that gave me a refresher. The arcs explored in this novel are fairly common(there's really so much you can do) but this one puts sucha unique and fun littel spin on every arv that keeps me hooked. I wish I had more free time so Ii could read this masterpiece more. What's appreciated by me personally here is that, although the arcs can be considered fairly short, the characters feel very real. The behaviors and reactions they have towards things feel like how actual people would react. A personal favorite is arc 2 where we get shown the aftermath of what hapoens after our favorite protagonist leaves. It feels real. I don't want to give spoilers because I believe that this book is a jouney you have to travel yourself. Just a personal preference, I also really like the fact that the arcs aren't too long. That's actually what causes me to drop qt novels most of the time, arcs start at like 20 chapters and eventually get to 200+ per world and I get tired and sick of it. The pacing overall is very well done and everything seems like it's on the right track and it's truly an enjoyment to read. I definitely recommend this novel to anyone looking to pick it up. Something to keep in mind before reading my desr mortals: My characters are flawed. In this story particular, that's how they are designed to be. Yuan Ming and Hei King were designed with the idea that they brought out the worse in eachother. This story is a tragety, it's about a failed loved that might have worked if they were born in any other era than the one they were living in. It was designed to fail. It's a toxic relationship and that's how it was meant to be. Although I do wish Yuan and Hei the best, they simply aren't compatible. They love eachother sure, but they aren't suited for eachother. Please don't come into this expecting a sappy love story because that's not what this is. It's supposed to be an awakening for my characters and hopefully the reader. We all have one person in our life we would do anything for, the goal here is to explore that extremely. How much force can a diamond take before even it shatters? My characters are assholes, but it's meant to be that way. Now that I've given you a fair warning, please proceed and enjoy with caution (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

I love this story so much, the concept, the plitline, the main character 😭😭💞💞 All of it is put together so well and the characters are relatable as well. I love the trope as well, although it can be considered cliche, the storyline is very well executed and feels extremely unique. I love this novel, definitely give it a try. I will patiently wait until the day this novel starts updating again 😌😌

Author here hi!!! I keep seeing authors leaving their own reviews of their books so I thought I'd do the same! I will not sugarcoat my own characters as they all have flaws and some aspects are not consistent. As much as I try, they have their own flaws, as a character, but also that me as an author might have made through their design. I am not planning on dropping this book, it's a long term project but I also don't know when the day I will be able to stably updated will be. I tried but I am also human and currently an emotionally unstable highschool student. Both my writing and characters have their own flaws I will admit that but I am trying to improve. So far I have the plot and some details worked out as well as some chapters written. There are....alot of plot holes as of right now that I will hopefully work out as I write. This story isnt perfect, but it's mine. Most of the stories I will publish all have been thought out, but I don't have much talent or motivation. I love writing but I can't guarantee my updating stability or quality, but I will try. So, uh....Stick with me through this journey?

I read this novel back on wattpad before covid hit and saw it on here, I just kind of picked it backed up and continued reading. Good novel, what else can I say honestly? Set up is good, character development is amazing, and the author always leaves ambiguous clues that keep me reading. 10/10 would recommend you read.

As much as I love the female lead and how she develops as a person, I can't stand the fact that she still falls for the male lead. In my opinion, the second male lead would make a better love interest. This is coming from someone who read till ch. 1105 thankyou. The female lead is good, she develops nicely and is not overpowered from the start. She relys on herself and makes good decisions. The fact that she kissed the male lead in the beginning is understandable because the circumstances called for it. So was literally every other romantic interaction between them. HOWEVER, I do not understand why the female lead still falls for the male lead. The male lead has a terrible personality, yes he could improve but his ego keeps himself from seeing his own flaws and he makes no efforts to change. He treats the female lead terribly and constantly hunders her. I won't go into detail about how due to spoilers, but know that he is highly annoying and often takes advantage of the fact that he has something the female lead wants to basically threaten/bribe her. The second male lead in the other hand does make an effort to change and sticks true to his own feelings. He even try to court her dispite the opposition. He constantly does his best to help the female lead while the male lead simply makes everything harder than necessary. I bet you if the leads switched, this novel would be half the length. If you decide to read this novel, I suggest stopping at around ch. 300-400. It's good until then and it still is, but it personally kind of just drops from there. I wasted a month or so of my life on this, please do not follow in my foot steps.
