Girl, I get you. You would have their lives on your conscience, and who knows why they did it. Maybe it was for some sick sad sibling or child at home that they need money for their medicine or something. So then you would have that hanging over your head too. Violence only begets more violence.

I don't know how many times I had imagined myself being beheaded, but no matter how many times I thought about it, it still sends fear to the core of my soul, and I don't wish to bestow that to anyone else, no matter who they are.

She transmigrated into a novel and may get killed for something she didn't even do. If it happened to her, what's preventing it from happening to someone else? What if an innocent person transmigrates into these people right before they die and are then killed for a crime they didn't commit. And all because this world is so quick to kill people as a form of punishment when prison time could work to or be sold of as a slave like they were going to do to her.

She doesn't want them killed because that's what started this whole mess for her in the first place because as the villainess, she was going to be executed as well. She didn't say not to punish them, just not to kill them. And desparate people will resort to desparate measures. If they had money, a good, loving family and status, would they have done it? Also, she said their knots were awful, so they weren't professionals...maybe this was their first time?

Don't forget the second purpose: pop out babies, specifically sons to inherit.

In the novel settings during this time in history, women were not highly regarded to contribute to society. We are not encouraged to know too much either because knowing too much was considered unfeminine. That is no good, especially when you are a noble lady with only one goal in life: to be married to a wealthy, respectable family.

For me to date someone, they would have to concince me that it would be more entertaining or interesting too date them than to give up being single and the freedom that comes with it. I like having "me time" and not being beholden to spend my free time with anyone else if I feel like it.

These things are not real and that being in a relationship is a lot more complicated and troublesome than you think.

I'm not yet 30 but I'm coming to the realization that at the rate I'm going, I will be single at 50, ride a motorcycle, have more tattoos and piercings and color my hair more often. I might have a pet snake and spoil my niece and nephew like crazy. I will be the cool aunt that travels and eats a lot of unique food. I will also play the guitar. This is how I see my future right now.

When I reached my 30s and was still single, I soon learn to face the fact that there is no such thing as love at first sight or handsome prince or fairy tales.
