Didn't consider that. maybe so?

I thought to myself as the same panel from earlier had appeared. Dinner was... ok-ish; I talked for both of them. Dad listened, and Bella quietly ate. She talked some, but only when I would nudge her. Calling Charlie 'Dad' was an excellent first step, but it's a small one toward fixing their relationship.

That would be unorthodox not orthodox. Orthodox is the ""normal" way of doing things" meaning the typical boxing guard sitting high and protecting the head while using your body mostly to take hits you can't dodge. In martial arts it could also mean a right handed fighter (thus left foot, left jab leading) where unorthodox can be southpaw (lefties essentially fight as a literal mirror to righties (meaning right foot, right jab)

I like this system

Money began to pour down on the jester as his gaze went to the dollar symbol of U$D, "You can buy them" The Jester transformed into a little whirlwind, scooping up all the money before halting; he dressed differently in a fur coat and golden jewels, "Though I don't recommend that, makes you look like a bitch." He spoke while gazing at his nails and giving Sam a side-eye.

"Through" isn't exactly the right wording here I'd suggest "followed the instruction of the pilot" or something along those lines

I was meaning more along the lines of the Persians were supposedly anti slavery whereas as major portion of Leonidas army including the forces that stayed after being betrayed were slaves. Not to mention the Spartans threw the original Persian envoys down a well (Athenians did similar). But your original post is correct, there's no true good guy in war.

Dad always loved the Spartan philosophy of discipline and duty. He kept going on and on about the Battle of Thermopylae. Alex always used to remark how those 300 Spartans ended up dying fighting the Persians, but he'd just look at him half-disappointed, telling Alex that wasn't the point.

I feel he's at the power level now that he might do well in a total war warhamer campaign... wish there were more fics in that game honestly...

King Torygg's Court Mage stood before them, a sword in one hand and dagger in the other, and his mere presence sent shivers down the rebels' spines, sparing not even the housecarl.

Chase that dopamine!!!

Alex could, for once, completely relax. He wouldn't have to always worry about Annabeth's safety now that there were two other people to help protect her; he wouldn't have to worry about the monsters overwhelming them with Luke and Thalia to help; and now he had even more mouths to cook too. If that didn't make his ADHD part of the brain happy, then nothing could.
