the mc is stupid and weak minded beyond words, how can you be that desperate for someone that has dumped you 😠, and worse he knows she's using him. feels forced

this is so unrealistic I mean based on emotions and all, there is no you know somber reflection of his parents given the fact that he killed them even though it was as a result of the infection but he still have them the last blow but except from his silent mourning there is no other painful recollection of that moment (almost as if he doesn't care much, cause there is no way you won't be psychologically affected if he truly loved them)

I'm sorry but does the normal human basic reasoning still apply to this story
