As I already said you are right about the love and fear aspect but the perspective from I commented is that the LEVEL of fear they experienced IS SAME..no doubt the TYPE IS DIFFERENT...so yeah The LEVEL OF FEAR IS SAME.

Yeah, u r absolutely right ✅ but here I'm talking about their SITUATIONSHIP which resembles with each other...and I still think that Maxi was hurt at some level at that tym too, not becoz she loved him but because she was Highly attracted to him and aas super - duper insecure about herself, and then again she was terrified of her father's reaction towards Riftan's departure without any word...

Just saying, but isn't the same situation as the morning where Riftan left Maxi to go for the campaign, after their first night; only the roles are reversed, with the exception of the reunion part. BTW, loved the chapter, soooooooooooooo overwhelming :=)
