I don't mind time skips usually, and I really dislike when readers demand a change, but this is a case where I think a rewrite is warranted. The author has been teasing and building up to this relationship for 700 chapters. Regardless of whichever ship you wanted, we need way more than this. Alice transitioning from thinking about Michael as a student and disciple to a boyfriend. Learning about his past and some secrets, and in turn sharing her own. This is where that should happen and I think most of us readers really want to see it play out in the chapters. If a rewrite isn't possible, some side or "filler" chapters maybe?

I'm wondering if Maria and Kaleb will start to have a thing?

A burst of guilt swept through Kaleb. He couldn't help but approach Maria to distract her a little bit. It was partially his fault that Alice and Michae got closer.

This is the only novel I've been willing to pay for early releases this month. The amount of effort and struggles and paying off in the quality of your work. Of the 20 or novels I'm currently reading, thus far this has been the most enjoyable pacing. To offer feedback because it was requested - I hope that relationships with supporting and side characters continue to be important. In too many novels in this genre as soon as the MC moves into a certain power tier, all the other characters/relationships that helped keep the mc relatable and likable disappear.I don't find all powerful characters who develop a god complex to be very interesting. At (or near) this stage I'd like to see more thoughtfulness from Michael go into picking his traits to develop a more cohesive system. At this stage his different powers feel like a grab-bag, which makes sense for now. A penalty for moving/swapping traits was introduced - while thats not necessarily a bad thing, Michael researching and making a custom mix of traits for different fights would be something I think I'd enjoy. Also to echo some other commenters - trait fusion! Finally, I hope the traumas Michael (and other characters) have developed continue to be something they have to work through and deal with and have meaningful impacts in decisions and actions. A lot of authors create trauma for their characters only to handwave them away a few chapters/arcs later when either its inconvenient or no longer what the author wants to focus on. At best you might get something that reads like, "He was sad and hurt, but he still behaved completely rationally and didn't let his emotions affect him at all. He overcame the problem and then was never affect by it ever again".
