Ch1800+, found there was a halt in updates. So... What an unexpected cut to the story. Seems like there will be no more (chapters). Upon researching, I read up the author's concluding remarks. Basically...here's what I got: This is goodbye. Lost the motivation. The emotions originally poured into the novel changed. The lesson, humans change---the author got the hard brunt of it. MTL'd: [I no longer believe that there is a "perfect answer" that can solve all problems and save cities and entire civilizations.] Supposedly, there were three arcs: Dragon City, Alien World, and Xinghai (sea of stars?) Chapter, Obviously, being 30% in (2000 chapters of one arc, imagine fleshing out an entire fucking world, much less galaxies) and having other thoughts wouldn't bring a congruent story together. Veteran authors might've, but the author resigned (not being able to do it). Other remarks are lost in translation and/or conjectures, so I won't go further. RIP? Condolences? Re-read Forty Millenniums of Cultivation? Or count the calendar sheets and anticipate an upcoming novel?

story quality 1-2 / 5 An appetizing livestream novel with sci-fi elements. Enjoyed despite its flaws. Doubt any plot twists, betrayals, or other heart-tugging scenarios to occur. Got this grand plan going, but livestream drags it out. He's bathing in the spotlight of extravagance, but what about that ambition of his? We jump right in as to who exactly our main protagonist really is---a Mary Sue, "Xiao Yuyao---a man that was known to be the best of the best" freak from a futuristic age who's supposedly a top scientist for this really big empire. You quickly reaffirm that there are no scandal shenanigans, but we get livestreams...displaying black technology. How fun! You bet there'd be netizens of the internet spamming rockets and singing praises, but wait, the government's here to crash the party. However, the protagonist's got it cool, because---you see, this is actually a part of an audacious marketing ploy for his future company! There's considerable focus on the grandiose and reactions, and little descriptions that show the absolute bombshell on the political and socioeconomical landscape if a literal incarnation of super-duper technology were to appear. There shouldn't be expectations of back-and-forth threats coming from all directions; no flesh-burning high-stakes gambles in play due to his "advanced AI" capable of analyzing and preventing all risks; no moral dilemma in ruining countless lives for his business empire's sake; and no expert characterization on the matter of anyone because you bet it's all about his cool inventions and the reactions it receives. But hey! There were peaks in conflict, but no satisfying resolution. Simply because of this, it's better than "most" novels...here...on trial read.
