POIV is a man of principle in this novel. He ain't your normal grandpa hokage, even if he knows you might be an enemy he'll still give you the help you need as long as you are human. There was a time where POIV literally listened to the words of three Hairy Men Demonic Path Gu Immortals he had cornered! He then let's them go later on due to how they convinced him . Plus the MC is is his first student so yada yada yada (insert cultivation seniority customs) and here we are. Plus POIV only had a suspicion that MC was the one that broke fate. He was hoping that MC might not be the one who broke fate but well disappointment is an old friend. POIV in this novel will be a pure to honest good guy that just so happens to be an enemy of the MC. (Also it was already hinted many times by Zhou Fan that POIV is the ideal Righteous Path Gu Immortal and if any of you don't think so then consider this as plot hole #2)

Wiki says that Soul Path was FOUNDED by SSDV not CREATED. What that means is that Soul Path Gu worms long since existed since the dawn of time. It also says that before Fate Gu was damaged by RLDV, the max soul state that could be achieved was Hundred Million Soul. That's not something that you are born with. SSDV did CREATE Killing Path, and the first Gu was the core Gu of this Path, Kill Gu. SSDV was able to create Kill Gu therefore giving birth to Killing Path. See the difference? It's true that Soul Path is heavily restricted right now but that doesn't mean some of the Gu worms can't be created especially those that can enhance the soul. True you can't escape the Door of Life and Death, but who says MC has to go through that door? Food for thought~

I was about to do a spoiler but held myself back since it would have ruined the story. But yes it was only a clone of SSDV since his soul was too strong for a Gu worm to handle. But MC isn't SSDV though! his soul is only as strong as a normal person! So what I just typed in before is still applicable! Just know that MC's soul won't be going to the Door of Life and Death. (This is the only thing I can afford to spoil.) I really want to say more but it'll have to wait until the end of the War Arc. (This means the war to free the humans from the Variant Humans.)

Oh and just know that you don't need Fate Gu to be completely destroyed in order to resurrect, since there was a timeline where SSDV was able to resurrect before Fate Gu was destroyed. But he was foiled by Fang Yuan because FY took away his vessel which is Sovereign Aperture Fetus Immortal Gu!

It's true you can't resurrect yet in a complete sense since Fate Gu is still not damaged yet by RLDV. But if you haven't forgotten there are still Soul Path Methods that stores souls and not allow them to go to the Door of Life and Death. Just like how lord sky crane stored his soul into a soul path Gu worm. So if he can store his soul and transfer it to a vessel (we know that you can create vessels using Human Path) you can technically resurrect! If you have enough attainment level in your path you can mimic the effects of other paths. So by using blood path MC will be able to create human vessels! I'm still working on the details but just know that it will not be impossible to achieve.

It's like how Fang Yuan gained a Blood Path inheritance in his past life but he doesn't know the recipes to a lot of Blood Path Gu worms but he does know them by name and effect.
