Honestly I don't quite get how this was the logical outcome, especially after in chapter 2042 Annara directly told her that hall 7 was a no and that she shouldn't go with a wolf instructor. I could see them explaning Emery as an exception because they at least know that he can be somewhat trusted, but how the heck that she eventually end up with hall 7 of all halls after their conversation in chapter 2042? Am I overlooking something?

I'm not going to gripe, I'll just pause reading this novel for a long while because I'm done waiting every day for these two to come together.

Honestly the two things I'd like to see is Shinta joining Hall 120 and that Shinta finally makes the move to tell Emery that she is his daughter. After all she already realized that he was kept in the dark just as much as she was, giving them something in common and a viewpoint she should understand quite well. She just needs to gain the courage to take that final step and I hope it won't be delayed for too long because honestly it's starting to get annoying that it's not going anywhere.

So just two more to go and there's still two from earth trying to climb the mountain, right? Want to bet they'll make it on the last day, bring them to 20 and then finally Shinta decides not to join?

Same, and it doesn't even add anything for this quest either. The drastic drop in luck is more than sufficient penalty.

Yeah, those are honestly the worst quests in system novels, the quests which take away MC agency.

Not just the way he treats his wives. It's already totally clear he's not going to treat his kids well either, unless they have a good aptitude. These last few chapters make it so obvious how terrible of a parent he will be.

The problem is, even with his apothecary he actually can't do what you're saying. Yes he can increase their spirit power, but we all know that they'll reach an elemental comprehension related bottleneck. We've seen that exact thing many times with Emery as he usually caps out on spirit power before reaching the necessary comprehension to advance. So when Klea tells Gwen that she can never become a Magus, it's obviously because of her D aptitude being a problem in that area, not because of spirit power.

I don't see that working, Silva is clearly too racist and has been raised that way. She and Emery could work, but adding any human women into the mix is a recipe for disaster.

Unlucky? He heard screaming while knowing something dangerous was out there and ran right for it. That has nothing to do with lucky, he's just an idiot by running straight at the danger like that.

Perhaps he couldn't protect her from something at the time due to having destroyed his own strength? Wouldn't be surprising at all if he ended up shooting himself in the foot there.
