Key word 'accelerating'. You increase speed up to terminal velocity (~53m/s) at ~9.8m/s per second. If we round that to 10 for easier math, 10m/s the first second, 20m/s the second, and so on. After 4 seconds, he would be moving about 40m/s and have reached just shy of 100m.

The cliff was around seventy to a hundred meters high. Although it felt like an eternity that he was even able to summon his memories, it would only really take about four seconds to plunge and hit the ground from that height.

Soundproofing isn't rated for screaming unless you double layer it, usually, since it just muffles sound, sothis is actually exactly how a soundproofed room in a house sounds

Although the room was soundproof she could still hear a bit of their sounds, at first, she didn't hear anything, however as time went on their moans got louder and louder, and she finally listened to their rhythmic voices.

I love this idea! He can move around as much as he needs to, but still always be able to come home. However it ends up shaking out, I'm thoroughly convinced he's either her father, where she is from the future, or he's a reincarnation of her father, or something to that effect. So she gave him a tool that allows him to rule her people, keep his troops available at all times, and another way to more efficiently move people around (Only have one instant teleport gem? Send everybody to the blue star, teleport, and have them come back through with you, regardless of if they are a wife or not.) And all of this (at least in my opinion) because the Water Spirit wants to have her dad around as much as possible. Thanks for the chapter! [img=update]

My guess based on the breadcrumbs is that Lucien ends up getting the Water Goddess as one of his wives at some point, the Water Spirit is their daughter, and somehow they have ended in his past. (Or time isn't so linear for them, could be a "once you become powerful enough, time starts to happen all at once" sort of situation)At some point, Lucien dies protecting his family, and his family is now trying to engineer his strength to make him stronger, such that doesn't die, and can continue to raise, live with, and protect his family.It would explain her resemblance to both Lucien and the Water Goddess, her lashing out when Lucien defends her father's actions, and the fact that she gets really angry with all his family, either because she is also angry at them for leaving her and her sisters alone, or because she's angry that her family is treating her like a threat.Had the idea since the shell, but wasn't sure exactly how it would come together, but now I have a pretty solid working theory.A bit apprehensive about possible time travel or similar plot points, since it can be difficult to execute well, but definitely willing to go for the ride anyway.

I absolutely love this novel, one of my favorites on the platform. The only thing I wish was that it was updated more. The sheer lack of updates in the last year makes it incredibly difficult to even hope for more chapters. I still hope it will continue and get more consistent one day though. The sooner the better.

He fired off several while running from the mercenaries right after he got them, so he never got to retrieve them. He started this fight below 100 arrows

Some arrows were damaged when passing through targets and hitting stones on the ground, and others were lost when Lucien hit mages too far from the main group. After a few minutes, he managed to recover 80 of the 90 arrows he shot, leaving his current stock with 81 black arrows.
