It probably depends on the genre. In regular Manga, I believe it's called Harem. View More

There's also the recently destroyed zanbato, which was supposed to leech the life force/stats/attributes from whatever he killed with it, and he killed thousands of devils/demons with it, yet it was never mentioned whether he actually got anything good. View More

Kupkake: Please, please author stop having Lino create awesome sets of armor and cool weapons, only to have them destroyed before he actually gets to use them for longer than a single battle. I am sick of having him engage in fights with those far far ahead of him in cultivation and end up almost crippled every time. I get that fighting those on the same level is child's play for him and fighting those above a couple realms is also easy but we do not need him to constantly fight those who are a thousand plus levels beyond him. Not to mention that he mentioned that he learned laws and martial arts when he was in hibernation for the 6 or 7 years but he has not used a single law or used any other martial art other than the spear and sword art that the writ gave him. If he can combine his brute strength and ferocity with actual finesse and skill with a weapon, he will be unstoppable especially if he can make long range weapons. I just want the MC to have more time to grow instead of constantly being beaten down whether emotionally or in this case literally.

Am I the only one who have a strange aversion to flashbacks? It might be a natural reaction built up from having watched hours of anime fillers, but it's even worse in web novels, and those following with "part 1" in particular. They almost always signify that I'll be continuing this when I'm bored enough. View More

Drethin: I wish the author knew how to use the and a properly, it gets frustrating when I see things like "die with little dignity". Like, obviously it's meant to be"die with a little dignity", and it wouldn't be as bad if they didn't mean completely opposite things. It's also pretty annoying when the author seems to only use the sometimes, but leave it out other times, with no apparent rhyme or reason.

Grendolyn is ultimately responsible for all damages incurred during this arc, including, but not limited to, the loss of Jeff's hands, so how in HELL is it that our doormat of an MC is accepting of her presence, much less taking demands from her!? View More

I personally didn't mind the Naga arc that much, at least length-wise, but this one is getting a bit tedious, especially with no clear antagonist and with the author's propensity for unsatisfying conclusions. View More

That may be, but the flat underside (or maybe topside in this case) of their heads is extremely sensitive to vibrations, so overloading these senses might inhibit the others. Much like how you would have trouble seeing with chilli/pepper up your nose. View More

Spoiler alert: Both the princess/palace trip and the very sudden hero summoning just disappeared out of the story. I sort of assume that they will be reintroduced later, but the way they were written out gave no indication of that. It was the same with the lone hero that our MC guided to the town, as he was "gone" the moment he left MC's line of sight. Also, you gave no explanation for the hero summoning. It appeared like an ambush, but the princess suddenly knew that they had summoned them.. into the middle of a forest. That part made little sense. And the part about our MC's personality is a little confusing to me; he isn't at all afraid of death when he happily goes towards the human palace or into the necromancer's tomb, but he almost pees himself out fear that a random dwarf he runs into won't accept his friendship. This story was off to a decent start, with only a few inconsistencies, but it quickly went downhill from there. The author introduces several new elements to the story, only to suddenly remove them, as if he decided to suddenly change the direction of the story, with so apparent purpose, but the biggest issue I had with the story is the redundant info. In almost every chapter there are one or more entirely redundant paragraphs that either told me absolutely nothing or something that's so obvious a toddler wouldn't need it explained, and as a result I found myself skimming/skipping a lot of the story, and probably missing some of the important stuff. Author should really work on prioritizing what info to keep along instead of padding the story in excess, i.e. a full paragraph of monsters nearing the camp, but MC just had to release his aura so it wasn't a problem anyway. If it wasn't a problem anyway, don't bother telling people about it. View More

.. and I actually entirely failed to consider the matter of context. My bad.
Thanks for taking the time! View More

DrewWells: Yes, it may be seen as just a technicality, but using sword it’s wrong even in the modern language, it is just less “informed” people that use it.
It is similar to when many people use wrong grammar while speaking so much that people start considering it right, it may be considered both right or wrong depending from the context where it is use, but usually in written language the norm is to be more rigorous, while in spoken language people tend to be less rigorous, so if you want to give more credibility to your story it should be better to be carful even to the technicality.
However in thus case for me it’s not a big deal using sword or saber, I just found annoying that people wanted to prove at all cost that it was correct, when it is not, it is just a technical error of the author that it’s still irrelevant to the story.
P.s. English is not my first language either.

Isn't that technicality is, tho? Whether one is referring to the traditional or the common/modernized definition is a technicality, right? Couldn't it then "technically" be referred to as a sword, even tho neither a professional, nor a dictionary, may agree?

I would refer you to my later comment, as, while it might be entirely wrong in terms of professional definition, even a katana would by most less literate people be referred to as a "Japanese sword".
And in my language, a saber is pretty much just a sub-category of swords. View More

DrewWells: No, a saber it’s a saber, a sword with a single-edge is not a sword anymore, and this is by definition, you can check it on Wikipedia if you want.

Khrysaor: I just realised something from like 200 chapters ago. Archmages can extract essence directly from the realms, without holding any in their bodies. Also, mages such as Masters and Grandmasters can live off their essence without eating or drinking. Hence, it is likely that you can't starve an Archmage.
So the people in the special holding cells in the Academy prison who had their full power left were probably Archmages.

It could be dependant on what they stole. If it was simple, liquid currency, then they indeed had no reason to proceed with less risk/less reward, but if they stole other valuables, they might have to wait a while for their assets to cool off before they fence them, in which case they might need a source for food in the meantime.
