I have to be honest I am completely weirded out by the novel. You know Twilight right ? That werewolf guy Jacob that saw Bella pregnant with the vampire Edward's child. Smelled her daughter somehow in her belly and decided to raise her kid before getting romantically involve with her ? That is how I felt reading this. I have read up to chapter 23 and towards the end I could not continue anymore because of how uncomfortable I felt, exact same feeling. Like right that moment MC is two days old and the girl has fallen in complete love with MC both body and mind. I know it's not technically pedo since they are both kids but MC is still a baby. The elders knows, the grandmother of the girl also see through it and thinks it's ok. Like look, I know the title of the novel and it was because of it I was thinking to myself I will finally be happy to be able to find a novel without romance however not only did I not get what I wished for but I can already imagine reading the next chapters about a little girl grooming MC to marry him later and this is as bad as what Twilight had made me feel. Honest score : 2/5 Tl;dr MC is the biggest cowatd in the entire galaxy. World was good, characters were good, story was somewhar going somwhere but right when we focus back on MC inside the civilization everything becomes meaningless. Honestly the start was boring then it got good when I read some character development specially on MC side where he was supposedly becoming more of a veteran and bloodthirsty as he could awaken his memories; however after that, after the fight in the wood where he finally acted more like a man fighting against a wolf that almost got his arm; I had kept on reading further but it is just so damn bleak. The MC turns back to the biggest coward on planet Earth you’ll ever see, even after a spike up on his cultivation after a war expedition around chapter 200s~ where at one point he mentioned he won’t hide anymore because supposedly he’s become OP; during an interuniversity tornament you notice he has not changed one damn bit. Somehow he can have good fights when it is against monster and all then when it is against students he only knows how to hide, doesn’t have his supposedly veteran aura anymore that he has against beast. To be clear at this point I cannot be sure anymore if it is whether he is just truly that big of a wuss or he is going back on his words about not needing to hide his strenght because he also needs ressources. I am starting to understand this less and less as I read on because somehow the character develpment he had just gets nullified, at least that is how it feels to me as he awaken more and more of his veteran memories and skills, not only he seems to be weaker but more importantly incomparably timid. And it was clearly mentioned in the story at one point, the city and its organizations are seeking continuously promising youth to nurture and there isn’t even a clear explanation on why he has to hide his strenght as such while many others are just so open about it. It’s often read in the novel’s words how of a hero not afraid of pain he is but this MC is just a damn coward that cannot fight like omg I’m running out of words on clearly how embarassing it is when you have just read how awesome he is against some beasts in the forests then once back in the civilization he gets thrashed by some random university youth because supposedly he isn’t using the fighting style he prefers, which is to hide, like when did he had to when it was against the beasts though ?? And also how is he somehow able to promote the ultimate style while doing as he does ? For some reason you read spectators comment about how good what he did was, I mean thank god for these comments because without them I truly would have been able to comprehend in what way what he did was different than how others did or that it was meaningful in any way and of course the system counting it as a win (successful promotion) is beyond me. I am only so angry because the world building was good, the characters were good too but the MC himself is such a massive pain that I would have prefered to read the life of any secondary character in this novel; the novel wasn’t ruined by anything else but the protagonist itself, it makes me so angry. TL;DR book completely and flawedly without effort plagiarized [Death Inquisitor] by [Second Brother] Honestly I read a couple of chapterd and found it oddly familiar, beside for example the way character spoke like “i beg the judge to give them death” or other example like the livestreamer supposedly in New York makes a livestream that reached 40 millions people. Instead of just shortening the original chinese chapters they should have just translated it fully and give it the right novel and author name. just changing stuff there and there but leaving obvious flaws like the use of RMB instead of USD as well. All in all it’s a complete plagiarized book giving neither the original book nor author the fame it deserves.

Okay so I read 20s chapters of this and I cannot understand how is this being translated and worked on while [Scoring the Sacred Body of the Ancients from the Get-go] is not ? This feeels like a really cheaper version of [Scoring the Sacred Body of the Ancients from the Get-go]. It is totally your typical anime protagonist who, gets transmigrated into another world, have girls falling for him for no reason and is overpowered. [Scoring the Sacred Body of the Ancients from the Get-go] has a similar style but is a grade higher, why ? Because the MC doesn’t take himself seriously and knows what’s up with a touch of irony and comedy, he uses cliche novel plots to his advantage similar to [I’m really not the Son of Providence]. This however is suuuuuuuuch a boring and terrible read ! MC despite being a transmigrator has it all ovwr his head and it feels like the concept of power or identity is completely lost, it feels boring reading It.

The start was not that bad honestly. translation quality wise there are some errors there and there but it is still readable. I can honestly also get behind that the main female is brain dead and falls deep in love with MC for absolutely no reason nor prior contact or before even having spoken a single word to him. However it went downhill when the author keeps forcing that random stone gambling garbage story line there. I am 100% thinking it should not even be a thing. Not only does he keep selecting trash stones each time but the reason he does so is not even properly explained, just half assessed excuses like, does not want to show off. I honeslty hate this type of stuff so much he is actively hiding his skill for no reason at all since we had seen no real consequences, like i wouldn’t mind he did as he is doing now if there are actual consequences shown but there isn’t, because there is a guy clearly known for picking right stones most of the time our of 10 and MC decides he needs to hide his skill and picks 2 with 8 empty stones. It’s honestly the whole story each time, he could have so much benefits showing off his skills but he doesn’t, every encounter there exists for the sole reason of trash talking MC before even knowing, the brain level of villains in this novel is simply in a word : abysmal. I’d rather honestly read about a MC that fights and figure out his own benefits first for doing this or that than one actively hiding his skill and crippling his ability in doing so and again for seemingly no proper reason given.

Ok translation quality however the story is... Terrible. I have no clue how could this book possibly be so highly rated compared to the other books ranked in their 30s, it is beyond my comprehension, really. I have some doubt that the MC was a transmigrator with a job prior coming to this world, he acts nothing like how an ***** should, he literally does ZERO planning on anything. You'll understand if you read how he uses the system he has, the most annoying to me is that he rarely does anything specific on his own but random stuff happens to him. Plot... horrendous and super cliché, it is not even lazy writing at this point. It was SO cliché that you know he will be white knight-ed on every occasion possible; his "friends" only exists to be bullied and cry so it shows how RIGHTEOUS MC is. MC's plot armor is so THICK and comparable to [Monster Paradise] he'll basically never be threatened by anything etc. Characters... Actually there are no characters besides MC; the MC himself already being an one dimensional character his side-kicks of a grandfather is already 0.5D and everybody else is 0.1D for they, in the event that something is happening exists to either be there to sneer at our 1D MC or repeat "This..." after each useless descriptive sentence in unison. I think I've never read so many cliche at this point in just so few chapters. If [Monster Paradise] was my bottom book before, this book successfully replaced it being at the very bottom as, not only does it replicate clichés but RECYCLES THEM;
