this chapter pretty much changed my view completely regarding the quality of this novel.......it went down and that fast. it's like the author wants to ruin this novel by going down the ******** harem route. he gifts dark-gold equipment to females he practically doesn't know and then goes and explains it as a smart move because its a smart move (yeah that's exactly the kind of logic the author used here, f^cking hell). i really didn't want to believe it but the author is destroying his own novel here just because of his female characters. only the minority of them are alright and not annoying. of course you can't forget the fact that he practically throws money at any female he sees.......
AFTER BEING BETRAYED BY SOMEONE HE TRUSTED HE STILL PUTS THIS MUCH TRUST IN ALLIES HE BARELY KNOWS????? Really????? And just strait up gifts them some of the strongest stuff he has??????
You guys should look at it from the perspective of the author giving the MC some flaws. Unlike most novels, were they have plot armor wrapped so tight around them that they can sh*t gold and fart rainbows. This author is actually doing a good thing by showing some humanism to his character. I mean seriously you have to admit having multitudinous amounts of LN where the character was such and such and blah blah wouldn't affect him is 1. Long winded, 2. Boring after 10,000 rendition of why such and such would affect him/her because in the past they where whatever and what haven't they seen, and 3. Unrealistic, I mean what one person has never faced failure? Even in those other novels the MC would run away but he hardly suffered, at least nothing he could recover from and get revenge for.
Lastly, I leave you with this:
“A famous statistician once stated that while the individual man is an insoluble puzzle, in the aggregate he becomes a mathematical certainty.
You can, for example, never foretell what any one man will do. But you can, with precision, say what an average man will do. Individuals vary, percentages remain constant. So says the statistician.”
Just how much money did throw on femals for gifts? The wine and tea combind are nothing compared to the rainbow silk. Every female he meets he gives so much even when he was poor before.
Finally, storage space is supposed to be expensive. Not dirt cheap like- *cough* anyway. Yeah storage space is supposed to be limited and not easy to get a hold off.
I am one of those people who would rather go broke but give you a meaningful gift, than save money getting the cheap stuff. Not that there would be anything wrong with an harem, but love and friendships are like a fire, if you don't throw in some branches and logs every once in a while, it will slowly but surely die out. Not to mention this is a new alliance and MC just gave them a tour of his town, a cheap gift would not be sincere. I not of the same opinion to those who said MC just want an harem, beside no one said anything when the shaman gifted him the silk worms and the small birds.
