This proves he has no say in what happens with the Plot from here on out and he must blindly follow whatever the System (Author) wants from him in order to keep the Story on tightly controlled rails. I've seen many people complain about stories where the Protagonist is too "Passive" and they have a point, it's boring to read about someone who just has things happen ~To~ them instead of happening ~Because~ if them. The Hero might as well be an inanimate stuffed animal if they're just going to be pushed along from one scene to the next regardless of their own desires.

One of the rules of anime (or japanese in parricular) was to never use first name right off the bat. Also, why didn't she tell her full name when introducing? I thought every anime rules was in place there? What a dissapointment.
