If Nalrond wants to awaken and to become a true race, the only way is, imo, to talk and communicate with his other beast half.
Guess Lith will have to ask Vastor to let him take that device for a ride. This bears repeating, if he has to lose one part of himself, I hope he discards the Humanity that's been shackling him this whole time. As for Solus, memory loss aside, there was nothing wrong with her from the start. She was always going to regain her body and a semblance of a normal life, as time went by.
Lith has 2 life forces, only one is cracked. what if he sacrifices part of himself so he has only one whole one? Maybe forbidden magic is the way, and no one actually has to die.
