I am around 200 and this will not be my first review of this novel i plan to continue. everything is great but few problems like MC is overly humble and unnecessary saint and embodiment of a good person. also I am quite bothered by MC guilt towards his predecessor i mean he feels his predecessor was worst person but thats not true and even so he is bother about past when you start a new. why he want to get forgiveness , his sister ,his friends why?..your sister kicked out you from your house no one objects ..he was just a kid a teenage kid in his rebilius period , instead supporting him and giving him a new way he was kicked out.he was just a kid ..was it fear. MC never thought about him. He made everyone free from guilt but for me the original segi was the most pitiful character. why do he want to go back to that family ...

decent novel. it started great, then became okay. the story progressed at a snails pace. the novel is also incomplete as the chinese gov banned the novel and stopped the author.

it's a good light read. It does not have a complex story which would require a lot of concentration thus you can read it light heartedly. It is quite good and I loved the overall world building and character design.

Chunibyu otaku with everything so exaggerated and overthinking for everything and lives in a delusional self created state. Yeah thats how its story essence is as well as I think author is too. Its a very good novel for people like Chunibyus and mental otakus not for normal ones!

I fell hard for the story in the first ten chapters. The plot, system, and characters really hooked me in a good way. I just got very sad when the story went off course past chapter 120 or so. The story didn't focus on dating sim or the system, and the story did a genre swap.

Great book, unfortunate reason for ending. China at it's best.

Honestly, I’ve read through the whole novel, absolutely amazing plot and wonderful ending.

Honestly, the story gets very bland very quickly. The first 100 chapter were really good, but then it starts to go down hill (I read till chapter 150 btw). There were 3 main problems that I saw with this series: 1. Almost every action he does gets chalked up to "Because I'm an otaku". He saves someone because he is an otaku. He fights because he is an otaku. He has no other qualities besides being an otaku! 2. The MC is to much of a saint. He tries his absolute best to save someone who he met twice!! Who does that!? That's not even the wort part. Mc has a system that has the ability to go back in time, no repercussions. You would think that he would at least somewhat use it for himself, but no! He refuses to use it to win the lottery because he thinks it is unfair or do anything even slightly morally questionable. 3. If you were thinking that there would be romance in this story, then will you be surprised. I'm not even joking. You could honestly take out all of the romance in the story and it wouldn't affect the plot. I wouldn't care too much about it if it wasn't a DATING SIMULATOR. MC is also partially oblivious when a girl likes him. Some times he figures it out and just ignores it. Other times he is clueless even though he can literally see their favorability. I don't even get why MC doesn't do anything romantically. Of course his universal excuse is, "Because I'm an otaku". To give credit where credit is due, some of the plot buildups were amazing. If I had to rate it only on the first 100 chapters, I would give it 4 stars. MC is sorta smart. The comedy is decent. The quality of translations is pretty good. I might have continued reading but the rest of the reviews said that it was great till chapter 100. TLDR: "Because I'm an otaku"

before I continue to read.....what he is going to do with his family and what will be his relationship with them? Chinese are so stuck up with their nationalism and their family drama...seriously. If your family kicks you out unreasonably than you might as well stay away from them and keep up no contact for the rest if your life.....?

The protagonist should be more cold.This book is quite good but its not for me I prefer novel with cold blooded protagonist and stuff so ( so I give it 3.6) so bye

ok, so at first, the story was good. first 50 or so chapters. But after that, it took a dive underground. It went from a guy trying to redeem himself to collecting women around him.

One of my favorite stories ever, so of course it had to be canceled. It is such a shame. I hope one day a story similar to this shows up. It frustrates me almost daily that I can't read a story like this anymore.

The author is skillful and very thoughtful when it comes to different occasions. I changed my account still had to look for this story to finish it I therefore recommend this piece of art to every readers

There isn’t an original thought in this entire story. Typical MC with no real personality other than generic nice guy who pretends to be mean because he’s edgy. Female characters have zero depth and exist only for the harem fantasy without being memorable in any way. Boring world with nothing unique to it. Every plot point is just a trope with nothing new added. It would be laughable if everything wasn’t so boring and predictable.

MC's character is deep and realistic, and the other characters aren't 1-D characters either. Even if you aren't into romance, I recommend giving the novel a spin, as there is a 'cultivation' aspect in this world, and there is more action in the later chapters!

An OK writen xinxia novel, with a goodie two shoes transmigrator mc. What little of the magical/science fictionised world is described seems interesting. But the author made the mistake of having the japanese hero fighting the chinese villans, and winning. The censors didn't like that. Good bye social credit.

Really progressing quality along the storyline. Super happy I had the chance to read this, but a bit sad from what happened to the author...
