I read the whole book before giving any review on this novel. Better than most average novels I have read and am reading. Above average but not the best. Towards the last quarter of the novel, it became really boring and I had to skim through the chapters to get to end (I just need to know the ending) which I didn't get completely because I skipped reading a few parts. Still I would recommend reading this novel but only after you have read better ones. I believe most ppl will either skip to end like me or drop it after reading it more than half because it becomes slooooowwwww and boring. Anyway it was a nice time pass for me.

a total disappointment.and a great waste of time...to avoid at all cost...I love cultivation novels but this one is a hedious abomination and I'm ashamed that I went through 500 hellish chapters of this sh$tty story

I stopped at chapter 72 because with what little had happened it would make much more sense if I was on chapter 10-20. Seriously not a lot happens but every little thing gets a chapters worth of info dump to explain it. Some kid wants to steal something? Well, between "Hey, I have an idea." and the next sentence where he says "Lets steal a thing." there's literally a whole chapter padding things out. And what for? More context? A paragraph could've done that. A whole chapter is hardly called for... That's the basic formula of this story. Not to mention whatever content we get excluding the one theft subplot which was decently interesting revolves entirely around thoughts on his cultivation or info on his training. There's a slight feeling of progression but mostly you're left wondering why the story isn't focused on something more interesting. So as if it's not bad enough there's so many chapters of nothing, what we do get is barely passable as a story. The story just isn't that interesting.

Idk why I managed to finished this sh.it.ty story!!! It’s very bad at another level, the ending was very weird and very bad, everyone close to him, including his family died, yet he didn’t bother about them, and wanted to live happily in the void like immortal... also, he was still restricted by the heavenly laws, weaker than the Dominators... you know, everyone was captivated by the title of this book, but the content is very sh.it.ty, congrats qidian for making another dog-like novel.

A good plot ruined by bad translation and main character. The translation is extremely bad to the point it is a bit better than mtl. Not just the weird use of terms and ever changing terms, some spelling also wrong. Main character, he changed from village boy that afraid to kill into ruthless mc that kill everyone without consequences. Because of bad translation sometimes I skip the story but because it is already completed that I start reading this

Nice tile for the book nicely goodly amazingly fantastically done story. You can like and lovely read. For good examples for eyes, never enough eyes.

I started this novel because, frankly, I liked the cover art... that combined with the title word "Sage" I was hoping for a more balanced and sensible character progression with more reasonable behavior and goals... When he struggled with a general army cultivation method from a BiL, I was happy... when he was nice to his "new" family, I was content.... When he became a blacksmith apprentice for some clan/family coverage, I was ecstatic (though I should have picked up on him not doing much if any smithing)... Then things became OK... THEN then things became "I'll just go with it"... BUT there was almost a reprieve, he was going to awarded a fief in what we think of as western China/ Mongolia-esque and he lamented not having a "home and place to fit in and belong"...OK, now he's going to act his mental age and here come's my original goal I thought... he's going to carve out a balanced, long-term existence for himself where other's can't screw with him... NOPE NOPE NOPE, he didn't develop ****, he pawned off everything to subordinates that followed him... he closed-door it... he began face-slapping everywhere... I've given up Oh Yeah... The thing preventing higher cultivators from messing with "mortal" business is CRAP... no one is willing to spend energy to activate the book and everyone knows it... they can use words and money to manipulate and that's different from hands-on (what BS is this)... AND puppet kings/ emperors want to cultivate the "Way of the Emperor" (does a person bringing home takeout get credit as a chef)

Overall the story was good but the ending is very disappointing. He has special eyes and they are not utilised at all, his techniques are also not utilised properly. If the author had focused on using existing skills main character had and developing it ten story would have been much better.

Well, this was a real pain to finish this book. The translation and editing was abysmal. The whole begining was even MTL oO (around 60 chapters I if I recall correctly) Overall, the story is messy, and the editing makes it worse. You keep wondering if the story is not edited correctly, or if it's just bad. Well, the book was mostly OKish, but I found all the super hidden plots revealed within the second half of the book super cringy and meh. I'm pretty sure the author was really pumped up after mixing these elements in the book, but they were not good imho. Last but not least, the ending was awful as fuc.k, like most cultivation novels.

Amazing book.....need more chapter's.....hihihi..hea kinda funny...but has a little bit of a perv.......its nice to watch how he gets strong

I really like this novel, and am a bit sad that it's now complete at 942 chapters. Still, I have not read beyond chapter 847, due to the new privilege reader rule, which has prevented non privilege reader from receiving the last block of chapters. Shame, but still a great read.

It's not worth it.... The MC is very plane with no character development. Always makes foolish decisions while the author tries to justify it which makesit more annoying. There is only one absolute truth in novel.... The MC will act like a loyal dog to anyone who he can't defeat even if that person doesn't respect him at all, sometimes even humiliates him. And he doesn't give a **** about anyone who is weaker than him. I mean he is so stupid... There is this one time when someone invites him to steal a treasure from a powerful general who defeated an empire from his camp which is surrounded by a whole army. At first he said that he don't want troubles and in the next second he decided to agree. And the fucking reason is because he wants to know how powerful that person is. And you know what the most amazing thing is. He met a very powerful person but still escaped from the whole army by flying above their heads. It would make sense if he is very powerful but noo..... he is just a big ant. And everyone and even himself thinks he is clever. I tried to tolerate as much as I can but this is too much... At least use some common sense, author. Why is he sooo stupid. I think even I am turning stupid after reading this.
