Emie and her sister were left home alone, which was their usual routine. She’d go fetch her younger sister Rue and go home while her mother worked till late being a nurse.

On this specific day though, something strange happened. News reports about something that landed, a spaceship of some sort releasing toxins. Killing everyone as it traveled like a disease making its way through your veins, killing you slowly. Reaching their households. Strong winds approached, knocking the windows senseless, the curtains swaying uncontrollably. While focused on the news, Emie ran over to close the windows, feeling something sting her face before a deadly cough, but not enough to kill her.

She sat down on the floor, her heart pounding. Was their mother okay? What landed on earth? Why is it releasing this acid? What happens when whatever landed decides to invade the remaining survivors.
