Synopsis
Cassius Fenrich must complete the Three Sacred Rules if he wants to inherit his grandfather's company.
First, he must marry a woman.
Second, they must produce an heir within a year.
Third, they have to live in his grandfather's childhood house, about two hours away from the nearest town.
In a month, he fulfilled the first two, because, of course, he didn’t wear a condom while drunkenly having a one night stand with a stranger.
Said stranger is Alice Harrison, a waitress and house-cleaning service provider with debts and a mother suffering cancer to take care of. Unfortunately, studying Criminology doesn’t make her money, but faking a pregnancy does.
United under a marriage contract, they embark on a new chapter of their life, all the while trying to survive the crazy neighbors next door. Which is proven to be impossible, because –
“I’ve seen serial killers’ footage and they act just like that. Trust me, either they should be executed on the chair, or they should be imprisoned in a mental hospital.”
“No. They must be my grandfather's men, sent to spy us to make sure our marriage is not fake.”
Although both aren't always on the same page, they agree on one thing. They have to act 24/7 like a true married couple in love for Case to inherit the company, and for Alice to get the divorce money.
But, can they really put up the act? Or will they slowly fall in love? And what will Case do when he finds out that Alice isn’t really pregnant?
Although, the most pressing matter is ... why Case acts nervously meek at one time, then acts like a child another time, as if he is not the same person altogether?
