Sixteen-year-old Hazel Hart is a new student at Lakewood High, who has moved across the country because of her dad's promotion. Hazel has a pretty normal first day at her new school, that is until Adrian Smith, Lakewood High's most popular boy lays his eyes on her and instantly falls head over heels for her.

The pair start dating after a month of hanging out and getting to know each other.
