/ Movies / MARVEL: RE-DO
Synopsis
I didn't want to be here... I never wanted this, any of this, but the universe and its sick sense of irony decided otherwise...
Now I'm here... What now?
What happens when you throw a man without ambitions into a world where the grandest of dreams can be actualized? Does he dream or wakes up?
5 chapters/week.
============================
The first 20 or so chapters may not be the best, narrative wise, since this is my first fanfic writing experience so there were bound to be some mistakes here and there. But rest assured, everything falls in place after chapter 18. Happy reading.

Write a reviewits a decent fic to pass the time. but there are some shortcomings in my personal view. like how utterly uninteresting the "antagonistic forces" are. or how reading a mc run around playing fix-it hero just cuz the world might end gets old quickly. world ending threats are a normal tuesday in marvel and reading a mc try to prevent all of them just feels bland and unnescessary after a while. and the last like 20 chaps all felt like fillers where the mc either monolouges, fights boring battles or is stressing over different threats. This fic has a lot of good qualities too. and i wouldnt be so critical of it if I was invested in what was happening. but ever since the start of the sentinel arc my reading experience went from "i cant wait to read what happens next" to "this arc feels boring and unnescessary, when will it be over" With all this said. My respects goes to the author for writing a story that feels like it has a lot of effort and thought put into it. I wouldnt even be able to come close to writing something close to as good as this
I usually don't put reviews, but I see so many 3-star reviews that I think this story doesn't deserve it and I'm going to tell you why. 1. The character evolves not only his powers but as a character. 2. The story is engaging and the events that unfold don't feel forced. 3. It seems to me that the author is doing a good job meshing different versions of Marvel between the cinematic universe and the comics. 4. My natural language is not English, but I can appreciate that the story can be read well and I have not felt it bad like others that have a different score.
I really love the story mainly because the author adds a sense of realness to it. I like a lot of other things but I mainly like this point. When I say realness I'm talking about the fact that the mc was captured shortly after awakening his ability. I personally like this part because if Charles, Eric, and any other mutant group have a way to tell if mutants awaken their ability, who says organizations like hydra can't
Reveal SpoilerThe story has a great start but that's it. The main character is not only weak, but his powers are not even unique. all he does is monologs everything, I don't want to read that. I also don't want to read a science text book on a FANFIC!! I get that your doing that so you can develope his powers more but you don't have to be so persice with the language of explaining it. The story pacing is all over the place and sometimes I even get lost on what action he did on somedays. The main character personality is subpar at best, nihilism+naivety does not equal a good character, that's called lazy writing, even through the story and he got rid of his naivety it still got worse cause now he overthinks everything wich contributes to the problem of monolog. There are more monologs than an actual story, there is no progress at all. The last problem is that the author reads the comments and sees criticism, which he does reply to, but doesn't even try to fix them, it would be better if he actually considered criticism in the story. Look I can tell you put a lot of effort and time into the story and I admire that but if you can't take a look at the criticism and can't see a problem in your writing, you can't become a better author because your overlooking the flaws.
it's too complicated, too much details, too much Philosophy. and the same thing goes on for long it is not realistic.
reviewing at chap 19 why you should not read this fic •mc is not super strong begin •if you don't want lot of unknown background char in fanfiction why to read •mc is not super power in beginning •mc char devlopment is very good •new plotline you need to wait till chap 18 for next stage author gives suprise ,like mc dad but it didn't create any exciting. but looking at given situation, i guess, it's ok overall i like this fic
This story was a cicle of me not undertanding why people were unreasonably mad at the author... and myself being unreasonably mad at the author lol But overall pretty good story, I dropped the first time I tried to read because I didn't like MC's personality but that changed real quick when I came back to give it a second chance You could literally skip like the first 2 or 3 chapters and it wouldn't change anything, or in my opinion, it would make it even better
good story. Not OP but has the potential to be very strong. would have given this 5 stars but you give some Marvel characters too much credit. looking forward to more and Hope the HYDRA hunting goes well.
great story all fanfic considered even for non marvel fans[img=update][img=update][img=update][img=update][img=update][img=update][img=update]
Only advice I can give you is DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF! DO NOT NERF!
The story has potential, however the mc isn’t my type of guy. His indifferent, a bit lacking, and slightly too indifferent for my liking. But if your looking for that type of mc you might like the start. I’m not sure if her ever changed but give this story a chance.
PS. chapter 45 as of writing this review/comment. The only think I dont like about this fanfic is that the MC is too much of a brute when in fact he has the potential to be smarter than the genius level characters from marvel. The author even wrote that the MC read a lot of books regarding sciences during his stakeout at Culver University (pre hulk serum chapter) and learns them all but that avenue was neglected in his character development unless in the later chapters.
You teased that Black widow was going to be an interest, but now you decided to dump her on Winter soldier. Come on bro, that's been so overdone that it's no longer funny. Besides, widow is wayyy better than Storm. Other than being trophy wife for t'challa and somewhat of a heavy hitter, Storm's character has zero depth in the comics. The only thing she has in common with the mc is being op. I came here for the promose of black widow, now i'm disappointed. The story is still really good though. So, keep it up. Good Luck
I like it so 5 star. I just have something in my mind while reading this. I get that the MC's power is adaptation and evolution and that it is a big enough deal for everyone to have him on their radar but Marvel has Darwin. Darwin is literally called the evolving boy, he even adapted Hela's death touch then became a death deity and gained powers similar to Hela including immortality, Asgardian physiology and control over life and death. He can even survive in space by becoming an energy being, Darwin can't even kill himself. So while I was reading this I kept on comparing MC to Darwin. Anyway I lost my point while writing this review so forget everything I said. Good job Keep writing Liking the story I even binged it.
Reveal SpoilerThis is the best marvel ff that i am currently reading. Sure there are some others that are also good. But over here the violence is just satisfying. I love it.
I love your novel, it has a feel that i haven't felt in a long time. It reminds me of when i started reading, I would highly recommend it. A note for the author: Please get Grammarly. love your novel.
So far, the story is good, and the mc is not overpowered and his power makes sense...................................................................[img=recommend]
The writing quality of this fanfic is something you would find on fanfic.net. And the updates are quite stable, though I'm kind of put off by the fact that he ran into hydra so early on, but I can cope. The main character is a very interesting one, though I don't agree with all his world views he makes quite a good point and is quite compelling. Definitely a good read!
Reveal SpoilerThis feels like reading something for a school assignment, good quality and well thought out writing, just 100% in the wrong place and not what I enjoy reading. It’s like if you brought a pageant dog to a horse racing competition, sure he’s cute, but he’s super out of place. The first chapter felt like a philosophical ramble, and if the author really wants to write some sort of philosophy paper, from what I’ve seen I don’t doubt he could. However, the prologue for your marvel fanfic on WebNovel is not the place for it.

Just another author honoring the code. If you want to give this fic a try, first thing to know is that the first chapter might not react well to some people due to me trying hard at being philosophical while I was high 🍀, so it's better if you skip that move one to the next one. The chapters that follows are just me as a newbie author trying to set a pace which ended up on chapter of monologues and a little action which rounded everything up at CHAPTER 15, so if you want to read it, try sticking around for the first 20 chapters before dropping. it's a slow burn romance, yes, no harem, with Ororo Munroe as the main love interests. Please keep your minds unbiased as you read through to get what I think is my vision for a fulfilling reading experience.
